The Lakers started 17-25 and will still be a playoff team barring a miraculous Utah comeback. Whether we make some noise in the postseason I think it's still quite an accomplishment considering the ridiculous amount of injuries we had to endure.
Proud of the Lakers now beat the Rockets and get the 7th seed!
17-25 to possibly ending 45-37.....28-12 finish....but still...with the team we had their shouldve been no way we staretd 17-25......we couldve been maybe 25-17..oh well

Injuries brother, injuries. No Nash for nearly two months really hurt us.

Considering EVERYTHING that has happened this season, especially the abysmal 17-25 start when everything looked the most bleak, finishing 45-37 could actually be considered an ACCOMPLISHMENT.

Absolutely in a brutal conference and with so many key injuries to their stars.

No Nash AND no Steve Blake, that's really what killed us. To put it another way: Chris Duhon, starting point guard.

Yes thank you for mentioning Blake. Forgot too, but he's really played well these last few weeks. If we had him the entire season could be a different outlook as far as our seeding.
Blake is showing he can be a starting caliber point guard.

You guys are kidding right? I'm glad we avoided the embarrassment of missing the playoffs but this season has been an EPIC FAILURE. There is no sugar coating it. This team could and should be infinitely better than they've played even with the injuries.
That's .700 ball, surprises me. After all the lousy Phx loss, Atlanta BS which we should have won handily, Paus injury, Nash gone, much better than I thought we did over these 40 games.
