It was fairly obvious by quotes from Pau and Dwight and the "play" of Kobe that they are running aspects of the Tri.

Never saw anything close to the tri against OKC all they did was instead of just watching Kobe they did things without having the ball which leads to someone open.

http://espn.go.com/blog/los-angeles/lakers/tag/_/name/dwight-howard

Are the Lakers listening to D'Antoni's direction?

"We listen," Howard said. "But we're the guys out there playing. We see things that sometimes the coaches may not see. We're an opportunity fastbreak team right now because we don't have a lot of speed. When we get the ball in the half court, we still can move and do all the things out of the offense. He wants us to stay spread, which for the most part we do."

The offense looks different because guys are moving without the ball instead of just standing around. Previously our offense involved getting the ball to whoever's turn it was to shoot while everyone else stood around.

Noticed during timeouts (ABC Broadcast), the players weren't paying MDA no damn mind when he talked. It's like he was invisible to them. LMAO

When Shamtoni was mic'ed up, he wasn't really drawing up any plays. He was yelling out stuff like "We gotta play defense" or "multiple effort." Kind of like the boxing trainer yelling at his fighter "You gotta hit him and not get hit!"

the sad/funny thing is, when d'antoni first got here, he even said, "this team is so talented that you just have to let them play sometimes"

and it took him so long to "let us play"

So that's what 7 coaches in suits & 9 in uniforms = 16, that's too many.

Not counting Sacre, Morris & Ebanks.

... and all it took was hiring a useless coach!

Let's see:

Defense strategy... players figure it out since they don't really practice it. And MDA never really focused on it anyway...

Offensive strategy... Kobe is now our player coach in charge of running his own system out of the post.

What's left for MDA?

He's been demoted to showering the team with empty platitudes during TOs.

Man, sign me for that job, Jimbo!

Shoot, I'll even come in for an interview instead of just doing a phone interview!

They are running pick and rolls, which they also ran with the triangle, even though pick and rolls aren't the triangle offense.

I would guess that is how someone who is short-sighted would see it.

Besides your little snarky response, explain to me exactly what MDA is contributing to this team over the last two games?

They're all All-Stars.

They shouldn't need a system to know how to play good basketball.

Like Metta said, Bball is a simple game. You just have to be the better team out there and that's what the Lakers finally are. A team.
