Netflix's first ever original series debut's tomorrow. The show has a $100 million budget. The trailer looks really good. Netflix will release all 13 episodes of season 1 all at once tomorrow.

I hope it turns out to be a really good show. I do know Netflix outbid HBO for it. Only good things will come from this being a success; more original programming from Netflix.

Agreed. I just wonder if they will decide to keep releasing an entire season at once.

It's what they did last year with their first show, Lilyhammer, what they're doing with the shows coming out this year, and for the foreseeable future. What they're striving for is "binge viewing." What sucks about it is you have to wait a whole year for the next season, where normally you would wait about 8-9 months after a season finale. I did like being able to watch all of Lilyhammer in a weekend though, gave me time for other shows.

I'm all for it. I'll definitely watch a good bit of it this weekend. I just don't know if it's the best business decision.

I think it's brilliant. Standard networks stretch their seasons out as long as possible to generate the most ad dollars. Netflix doesn't have ads. Their revenue comes from subscriptions. If you've ever watched a show on Netflix streaming it's designed specifically for binge watching. Watch one episode and the next one starts immediately after 15 seconds. They know how their customer base watches, and it's in big chunks. We're moving towards an 'on demand' media landscape and Netflix is ahead of the game. I've thought for a while that it was only a matter of time before a critically acclaimed scripted hit series was internet based, and it looks like this might be it.

Oh and I'm 2 episodes in and it's quite good.

I'm two episodes in as well. ... After this point, it's no longer Fincher directing, so it'll be interesting to see if the pace will be maintained. There has not been one dull moment thus far.

Already finished it, and it's awesome. I keep feeling like I'm going to be able to see what happens next soon, but I'm not

I love Spacey, so I'm glad to see him in a role where he can really show off his talent.

Saw the first three episodes, and I liked it. Spacey's accent took a little to get used to, but the acting has been amazing. Robin Wright has been understated but has a very nuanced performance.

Four episodes in and still great. Forgot he only directed the first two episodes. I really really like the way the show deals with text messages btw.

Six episodes in. Still fantastic.

I guess my only complaint is that it deals with education policy, but the federal government doesn't have a huge impact on it, given that it's mostly left to the states. Most of the details they've discussed wouldn't really be up to Congress. Other than that, the show's great. Acting. Cinematography (it doesn't really look like a television series). Pacing. Dialogue. It's phenomenal.

I've seen all of season 1 now. Overall thought it was a great series. The first 5 or 6 episodes then it got a little boring picked back up for a couple episodes got boring again before finishing strong.

On episode six. Love it still. I love this format of programming too and hope this succeeds for Netflix. Would love more original programming than this and Arrested Development to stream.

3 episodes in. Good show, much better than I expected. Spacy pissing on the 4th wall is really annoying but I've done my best to get used to it. It's weird to see how old and stately Robin Wright looks today.

Every single thing Netflix has released has been excellent so far. Well, except for Hemlock Grove or whatever, the Werewolf one. Just couldn't get into it. I might give it another shot later on. Can't wait for season two of HoC.
