You do realize EVERYONE, including laker fans, expected to lose this one right?
4-3 is still fine, we just need to win literally every 3/4 games from this point onwards. No BS. |

We've been playing Kobe "iso" this entire stretch with him facilitating. That has nothing to do at all with why we lost. Just silly. _________________

I still don't understand how MDA figures to sustain on the road in the 4th with a lineup like that to start against LeBron and then Wade schooling the 2nd unit with Howard. I mean, you can't give it away to a team like that on the road and let them ride a lead through the rest of the game. |

The offense was not the problem. The defense was the issue |

2 pts, 2rbs, 3 turnovers, zero assists between the two of them. |
1st 3 qtrs Kobe Iso'd players cut to the basket... 4th qtr Players stood around. Dwight wasnt even paying attention on alot of the 4th qtr offense. |
That's it in a nutshell - the lakers probably due to tired legs take the easy way out and refuse to cut while Kobe attacks |

He's not thinking at all. Any grade school coach would have put in big men to rebound with 1 second on the clock in the 3rd. If we aren't going to play Sacre we absolutely need to get a backup big we WILL play. _________________

This. |
As a minimum the shot selection would've been infinitely better and no ill advised 3 pt crappers |
And surprise surprise, I'll add another comment. Lakers were 4-0 win MWP didn't play or didn't close out the game with heavy minutes. MWP is the trash of the NBA. So many ill advised fast break attempts and iso jumpers to ruin the Lakers flow offensively. Defense? Most overrated defensive player in the league. Pierce. Burnt. Durant. Burnt. Lebron. Burnt. Michael Beasley. Burnt. |
Can't argue with that. |

You know what is not fair?
Ray Allen
Dwayne Wade
Lebron
Battier
Chalmers
took turn to wear Kobe out.
meanwhile...
Lebron milking on mwp
Wade using screens most of the time when kobe was on him.
So did Bron.

You cannot iso Kobe for the entire game for the rest of the season. D'Antoni does nothing but make substitutions out there, and he's horrible at it. Teams will realize that they should just let Kobe go off. |

This team is poorly built with too many overpaid players who don't do their share of the work. IMO, only Kobe deserves the contract he's getting, Pau, D12, Nash are getting too much for the poor quality of play they are showing on this team. |

That's the difference. There is no way in hell Jamison and MWP survive with early three point shots in the triangle. Phil would have knocked that outside of their heads while MDA is encouraging it. |

So was it offense that killed us or rebounding and defense? Because I know which way I'm pointing the finger. Kobe iso had nothing to do with either. _________________

Oh my, oh my, another game the Lakers just handed away. Comibine that with Miami getting every lucky bounce one could think of and it becomes hard to beat any team. No excuse for not dominating them on the boards when you have someone like Howard. I think with Gasol this game would have looked very different. Altogether the Lakers did not play too bad actually. Shooting 50% against one the best defenses in the league (supposedly) ist not too shabby. Our defense was pretty active and effective too.
What I do not understand is how the coach does not bring in Meeks when it is clear that only threes can get us beack into the game. Let Clark guard LeTravel. Meeks can handle Allen. Unbelievable!
Anyway, the losses against Boston and Phoenix sting much more.
I hope the FO finally uses the Hill-exception and gets someone like Martell Webster. Then try to turn Duhon and Ebanks into a backup big. |

Lakers aren't winning 75% percent of their games, look at their schedule, you still have 6 games against the teams that are considered title contenders, plus you know they are going to drop some games against some terrible teams. |

Man there's got to be better sets down the stretch then just dumping into Kobe.
Even if you want to put Kobe in the post, there are so many better ways to do it to get our players more involved and not let the defense set in.
So last time we played the Heat and in the 4th we went Nash Pick and roll over and over again down the stretch and since that failed then we went to
just dump it down To Kobe through the last 7 minutes.
Brilliant Adjustment. _________________ "How often do you think he looks around hoping to hear voice familiar. He's lost all of his combatants. Fisher is gone, Phil Jackson is gone, Odom is gone. Very tough for Kobe Bryant." - Kevin Harlin. |

It was the rebounding.. We got outrebounded by the worst rebounding team in the NBA lol. How many 2nd chance points did they have? Sigh... |

Everyone standing and watching while Kobe goes to work, while on the other end, everyone is involved. You really don't see the difference?
I have no problem with Kobe isos, but D'Antoni has to start using his other players. Kobe should not have to carry a team with this much offensive talent. The guy looks beat up out there after every single game. |

During the stretch, we did not play ISO only. Kobe was passing out of the ISO quicker which would initiate the ball movement. Tonight, in the Fourth we ran Kobe ISO only, and he was holding onto the ball alot longer. |

Isn't mda the only coach of a contending team that has an overall losing record? Well maybe we have just come down to MDAs level. Give him a team thats rebuilding, maybe he can get them some success.
Guess what our season record is pretty much MDAs overall record. We have basically come down to MDAs level. |
