Too much crying about the Clippers. They are done. All those young players they cannot pay. They are too cheap to keep them all.
Barnes and Crawford will disappear come playoff time. All those high flying dunks will not be there. In the playoffs all teams play defense at least by the second round. CP3 will be all by himself and he will go down.
The Lakers are just plain stupid. They have the experience, but MDA "aka the ScareCrow" does not know how to play to their strengths. He tries playing the Clippers game and that's why they get beat. We are suppose to be wiser and smarter. Utah Jazz in 1996 were old farts and they swept us. We were the younger, flashier team. Don't give this BS that we are too slow and unathletic. That's just an excuse for a turrible coach. |

I ask myself that as well, and the answer is always for the money. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

It would actually be after the 2014-2015 season, Cleveland has an option for that season. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

There have been plenty of worse times in Laker's history
Topped off to me by Magic retiring basically at the tail end of his prim in what seemed like a near death sentence. Not to mention those potential years of future championships.
Yet he has survived long enough to be called a P.O.S by wannabe laker fans who are emo about anybody that disagrees with him.
Good God man stop reading Twilight and being emo. |
Hey come on now man yes the person whom made this thread is outta touch and doesn't see the world like us (I appreciate the knowledge and history you bring to this message board) but don't blame it on Twilight man those are good books/movies and are not to blame for shortsided posters/posers on lakersground.net. |
Lol fine.
My gf wants me to read them but I have resisted thus far. _________________ #TEAM TANK |

Lakers beat NOR and UTAH loses to OKC and we're back at 8th. Even if this is the end for this season, as in we miss the playoffs, big deal. Considering where we are and how we're coached and playing, who actually thinks as an 8th seed we advance?
The two options are
1- Sneak into the playoffs and maybe bow out in a 6 game series
2- Just miss the playoffs
Both options suck IMO, but from a Laker business perspective, you'd want 2-3 home games extra for the revenue I guess.
There have been far worse days in this franchise's history vs this team being eliminated from the playoffs (whenever it happens). |
I want the team to sneak into the playoffs because games aren't played on paper. This team doesn't have a zero percent chance of winning in the first round. I would be pretty surprised at a first round win, but stranger things have happened. It's definitely a longshot, but I'll take a very small chance at winning the title over no chance at winning.
And suppose this team does win in the first round. I think the confidence of this team goes up, and the chances of winning future playoff rounds will definitely look better. This team is not the typical 8th seed. |

I do agree about there being worse days though. Nobody has mentioned the sweeps against Utah in 98 and San Antonio in 99. I thought those were really bad. |

I really fell asleep at the clippers game. Their fans are boring and I think stock crowd noise fills up staples. I never been to a clippers game it's too damn bright in there. Off brand celebs. Lol. Clipper fans are the pits. |

I had to go for business earlier in the year to a game, and felt the same, I was waiting for the poles to fall from the ceiling and people start throwing dollars at their dance team.
Lakers game are much more classy |

That loss contributed to Paul Westhead's firing early in the following season. Magic had enough and wanted him gone. |

I wasn't expecting this season to be the disaster it has become. I had extreme concerns for Nash and our overall lack of athleticism, but I did expect us to be absolutely horrible.
Battling for the 8th seed is humiliating for a team such as ours. I am pretty disgusted because I feel like it's cumulative negligence from the front office rather than lack of talent that has us in this position. _________________ “There are no limits. It is worse than expected, I thought we would at least be a solid 5 seed in the West this year. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I had my doubts about their possible future success after the preseason. A lot of people were in denial about it during that time. |

We need to start looking at who Lakers will sign with all their cap space summer of 2014 to go with Dwight and Nash. Hopefully with the possibility of resigning Kobe and Gasol cheap. Lakers definitely need to bring back Phil Jackson this summer and get everything back on track. By then, teams like Heat and Thunder shouldn't be as strong as they are now and Lakers will have several more championships. I just want 2 more titles to pass the celtics. |

I don't think Nash will be playing in 2014, he kinda seems like he's on his last leg. I wouldn't be surprised if he retired after next season _________________ http://tinyurl.com/zhjax5w

Jhill- back, then hip
dwight -shoulders
nash-broken leg(thats not an old man injury
blake-abdominal tear
you do realize when our #1 and #2 pgs were out. we played with our #3 and 4th string pg. does anyone in the nba ever play with their 4th string pg? NO
but some how you place the blame somewhere else then injuries?
come on. stop it. _________________ LAL4K3RS wrote: He(Kobe) is the white haired kung fu master that you realize is older than dirt but can still kick your arse when in a sitting position drinking a nice herbal tea. |

Blake Griffin is finding out that being a leader takes more than a notion. The 5 3 Clippers are not what was expected. Doc got what he wanted, his son is starting. _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.
