They have been around 3-5 in the West for much of the year. I don't see a big difference between them and teams like Memphis and Denver. | the difference is the clipps are so reliant on cp3.other teams can press him with multiple guys. |
But if you compare the Clippers to those teams, remember that the Clippers have Chris Paul. Having a player like that on your team is a good thing. It's not a bad thing. Paul was a huge difference in the series against Memphis last year. |

- Clippers of all teams sweep us, win the division in the process.
- Utah beats Golden State
Will this be the day people remember as the Lakers demise and the day the Clippers took over LA? |

I think there are even worst days than this for long time Lakers fans.
If you can't even deal with this adversity, then you're not gonna go anywhere in life far.

Clippers will never take over LA because they won't win 17 championships before we do. _________________ "One day, the beginning of a new career journey will commence. Today is NOT that day.

It's more like the worse season in history, to be honest. "Slow burn" is pretty much what it's been like. |

Uh no,
Lakers beat NOR and UTAH loses to OKC and we're back at 8th. Even if this is the end for this season, as in we miss the playoffs, big deal. Considering where we are and how we're coached and playing, who actually thinks as an 8th seed we advance?
The two options are
1- Sneak into the playoffs and maybe bow out in a 6 game series
2- Just miss the playoffs
Both options suck IMO, but from a Laker business perspective, you'd want 2-3 home games extra for the revenue I guess.
There have been far worse days in this franchise's history vs this team being eliminated from the playoffs (whenever it happens). |

Far from the worst day in Laker history.
However, it is a wake up call for the FO or anyone else that thinks this team will make a deep play off run... Not happening. |

Just in the past 10 years there's been the loss to the Spurs in 2003 to end the threepeat's run, the loss to the Pistons in the 2004 Finals, going 36-46 in 2005 while Shaq and the Heat were ballin', the 2008 Finals loss to the Celtics and the 2011 loss to the Mavs to end our back-to-back rings. |

I actually don't think they're that far away from a top 2 seed next season.. they need better leadership in coaching and some decisions to make on the bench.. a bad season shows who you need to let go more than anything... if they had been a top 5 seed this season, more likely than not they would have fielded the same team next season. Now they have decisions to make (hopefully they don't sit on their hands and just blame on injuries). |

As a Laker fan for four decades I can think of many days worse than this.
And I don't see how any legit Lakers fan could even pretend that the Clippers have taken over LA simply because of a one season sweep. |

If Dwight signs elsewhere this summer, that will be worse than this. Honestly think he will leave. Why would he stay with this aging team over a young promising roster in Houston? |

Thats what I don't get. Clippers will NEVER take over LA. Lakers have way to much history in this town but yet Clippers take over after 1 season? No way |

Lakers is a better franchise. We always strike for Championship. And we won 16 of it. LA's also one of the biggest markets for NBA players. Endless possibility. Lakers is also where legends are made.
So why would Howard leave all those to play for an Asian market? _________________ You miss 100 percent of the shots you never take. |

Because the Lakers can offer him more money (I think $30 billion more) so OD course he is going to stay in LA who would leave that kinda money on the table? |
