Not that this fact makes us better than GSW, but it's been awhile since we have seen a team with this many double digit scorers

They Dubs also have a 6'3" 185lb point guard who give Lebron nightmares and blocks him from achieving true greatness. No one player ever did that to Jordan though. What does it have to do with anything we are talking about? Nothing. Just wanted to state some fact. 😂

The roster are a lot better than last year

Scorers:
Bigs: Lopez has excellent low post moves, and also good in taking 3s. Randle is physically gifted and is a strong finisher. He has developed midrange and 3s too, although not very good yet.

Forwards: Kuzma can almost score from everywhere. He is good at cutting too and always can finish. Ingram a good all around player. He is developing his 1-on-1 skill. KCP play at forward too. He is a decent 2-way player and is good at running fast break.

Guards: JC has excellent handle and can score at will.

Weakest link: 3s. None of our scorers is respectable shooter. We need at least 1 to stretch the floor. Lopez, Kuzma and JC are our best scorers but none of them are at elite scorer’s level. We would be relying on ball moving and multiple scorers system.

Defense
Bigs: Lopez gets the size but is too slow, especially in today’s game. Randle is strong and very mobile. He is improving his defense but not confident enough yet

Forwards: Nance Jr is decent defender in both individual defense and help defense. Ingram is a good defender, with gifted length and excellent help defense skills.

Guards: KCP is a our best defender so far. Hart show flashes too but need time. Ball is a decent defender.

We have decent defender at every position. It make our defense looks much better. But none of them are at elite level right now, but Randle and Ingram have this potential. Randle-Nance Jr-Ingram-KCP- Hart/Ball give us a decent defensive lineup when need.

Passing:
Bigs: Both Lopez and Randle are not good passer. Bogut may be our best passing big.

Forwards: Kuzma has decent passing ability. Nance Jr can move the ball too. Ingram is a good passer and has the potential to be a point forward.

Guards: Ball is a great passer. Ennis is decent. Caruso is good passer. JC play at PG too. But he is not consistent. KCP is a decent ball mover.

Dat 6'3 185lb guy can deadlift 400 pounds though. Curry is lowkey strong as hell.

Those aren't real deadlifts either. He's strong for a guy that doesn't weight train but a doing a boxpull isn't remotely close to what he'd be pulling from the floor.

Without a super star, that simply tends to happen. I don't think we're unique. A quick glance at some mediocre teams in the league and many are balanced. The Nuggets have 6 players average 12+. The Nets have 7 averaging 10+ just like us. We do not have 8 by the way, we have 7.

That's why we're chomping at the bit for two max players. So we can get some unbalance scoring averages like the good old days.

We have 7 btw. Lonzo has fallen off.

Brooklyn and Miami have 7 as well. A lot of teams have 6. Anyway, sure this is team-ball, but it's also the hallmark of mediocrity because you have no super star. That's why we have a 2 max plan, this team ball sucks. LOL!

This is slightly different than the thread title, but so far this season the Laker shot distribution has been relatively compact with no Laker in the top 50 in FGA per game and the top five players within 1.2 shots of each other:

Player (FGA per game)
Lopez 12.6
Ingram 12.6
Jordan 11.8
Ball 11.6
Kuzma 11.4
Pope 9.4
Nance 7.1
Randle 7.1

(Hart, Ennis, Brewer all average less than 3 fga)

Obviously some of that is the team's lack of an alpha scorer and it has also probably contributed to some of the uneven offensive play so far this season. But I think this bodes well for them as the season goes along and they start to execute better on the offensive end. You won't need one or two guys to make massive leaps, just everyone to improve a little.
