All 3 were on SportsCenter today talking about what Dwight Howard's future will be.

Quick Recap:

Marc Stein: "Houston and Dallas are counting that if the Lakers don't make the playoffs they believe they have a better shot at trying to convince Dwight, and Houston has a young star in Harden to build around. But speaking with those around the league, the belief is that the Lakers are still the favorites to retain Dwight."

Chris Broussard: "Lakers can offer him the most, I also think Lakers are the front runners for Dwight."

Stephen A. Smith: "From what I know is that Dwight is happy in LA, he doesn't want to live in Houston. Dwight loves the city (LA), he loves the franchise, he believes in Mitch Kupchak, and everything points to the Lakers being Dwight's first choice."

At the end of the day, he'll be a Laker. I think he's tired of answering these questions and just wants to focus on the present, helping the team get wins.

I think the fact that the team talked heavily about Dwight as the future, and refused (publicly at least) to even entertain the idea of moving him is going to matter to Dwight. LA committed to him.

Houston is the only legit threat to get Dwight. Don't understand this crap about Dallas, that would be a lateral move in terms of the roster.

Yeah, Dallas is old news and I hate that they keep mentioning that irrelevant team. Houston is a legit alternative, objectively speaking, but realistically, I think he's going to re-sign with the Lakers. He cares more about money and market than team success IMO.

The only one that even mentioned Dallas is Stein. Who is a Mavs homer who lives in Dallas.

The next few weeks will go a long way in defining Dwight's career. He flamed out and Runs away to say Houston, history will be unkind.

Houston isn't getting Dwight unless we get Harden in return.

You do know Houston can sign Dwight outright, right?

Unless he wins a couple of titles there.

Dwight staying in LA makes the most sense.

It doesn't work that way.

Kobe's injury guilts Dwight into staying.

I saw this segment.

SAS talked like he seemed he just spoke with someone from Dwight's camp. His quote was more like "I'm told Dwight is very happy in LA, he loves living in LA, he loves playing for LA. He doesn't want to live in Houston!"

Dwight ditching the Lakers soon after a disaster like this would be the sure sign of a coward akin to LBJ teaming up with 2 other stars to win.

Having been to Houston, I can't really blame him.

I was beginning to hate Howard early in the season. But since he's shut up and just started playing harder I'm happy with him. He's a max off name value alone but truthfully he's not max great.

Retain Howard then Clark (very important) then lets find ourselves a backup SG who can hold down the 2 till Vino is ready.
