C.J. Leslie 10.19 lane agility drill. Fastest at the combine and he's 6'9. 40 inch vertical too. I think he can be a 3 in the NBA.

does he have the range to be a 3 though?

I think so. Eventually. He has nice form on his jump shot.

Awful shooter. Not everyone can be fixed. Just like Ebanks shooting wise.

I don't think Ebanks was that bad. I remember he would be streaky from midrange, but there were nights where he looked good. Leslie from the perimeter reminds me of Josh Smith.

Leslie will always have the athletic numbers, but I don't think he has the motor. He's almost on my no-draft list.

I gotta say I'm going low risk medium reward, Colton Iverson based on everything. Just seems like a extremely solid backup big the 2nd team never had to set picks, get boards and is fairly efficient around the rim. You can have your athletes but a lot of them under performed for a very good reason, and mostly its because of lack of effort. This guy works. Think Madsen but bigger. Effort guys help your team when everything else fails.

I like him too from the work ethic standpoint. I just don't want to miss on any ... can't miss prospects at the pick as well. Iverson is a safer pick than others.

Mike is Otto Porter top 3 lock?

Mock drafts are something I don't do. What I prefer to do instead is a ranked draft list of players who I think are best to worst. That way when a player gets drafted, you just cross them off the list, and pick whoever is left at the top as the best player available.

Porter is a lottery lock. Top 3, I think, would be insane.

Thoughts on Carter-Williams? A 6'6" PG with a 41 inch vert is pretty intriguing.

mbakwe is productive and efficient and he has gigantic kawhi leonard hands but he's also 24 already and he has an injury history. i don't think that will be enough to make him fall to the late second round though

Dribbles too high, small hands, has trouble finishing through contact, doesn't have the quickest first step.

I'm not intrigued. Shawn Livingston preinjury would blow him out of the water with hoop IQ and natural playmaking alone.

Are there any DII or even DIII gems to be found as bottom 2nd/undrafted FAs? I know we drafted Deavan George from Augsburg which is a DIII school I believe.

Showed some shot inconsistency from the combine, from what I've read. Good SG size/athleticism, just hasn't put it all together. Cool name.

NBADraft.net has us taking Peyton Siva at #48. I'd like to pat myself on the back lol.

Better PG than Goudelock. I like how Siva plays more than Morris, even if Siva can't shoot.

Marquette always has underrated draft picks besides Wade but I.e. Wes Matthews, Steve Novak, Jimmy Butler, and Jae Crowder. I thought Blue was going back but if not i say take a chance maybe at 48. I still think Darius Johnson-Odom can play but needs to be given a chance. We need to draft a PG or SF.

Mike your take on Andre Roberson?

I like this guy's game footage. Athletic cleanup player with frame and athleticism to defend on the perimeter and finish. Not extremely polished, but similar to Ariza? Iggy defensive type without the O game?

I liken him to Ruben Patterson. Oddly freakishly athletic, motor, quick, fast. Lacks the ball-skills and perimeter ability to play SF since he's been comfortably playing PF at the NCAA level.

DJ Stephens is in the same mold. Lacking ball skills but 46" vert. Two killer swats in todays workout via twitter; Chad Ford and DX.

Which one do you think will turn into the better player Mike, Jammal Franklin or Shabazz Muhammad?

That is a tough question. It depends on how you define better player. I'm biased towards Franklin because I think there's so much Eddie Jones to his game; length, motor, forces turnovers, swats.

Muhammad has a better shot creating skill set and is just as competitive, and if he focused on defense, he could stop players too. But like Bryant early on, he has a blind eye, so competitive, that it's always on him, even when the open shot is somewhere else.

IMHO, best case for Franklin is Eddie Jones, but the worst case for Shabazz is Michael Beasley.

Basically Bazz has a higher ceiling but also the higher bust potential that comes along with it

Yup. You'd kick yourself if you missed on drafting a player who has the ball-skills of Paul Pierce.

Ahh Patterson's a good comparison, thanks Mike. Stephens looks interesting too.

Do you think Shabazz will be able to create off the dribble?

I think James Ennis is a good option at the 48th pick.
Super athletic SF.
