Wonder what's going on in Dwight's mind right now. If MDA is back Dwight's not coming back. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

I can actually see Jimmy picking MDA over Dwight due to his oversized ego. _________________ "Chick lived and breathed Lakers basketball…but he was also fair and objective and called every game the way it was played."

I wouldn't look at this game as the reason he would or would not come back.
There's nothing that MDA can do with this bunch, and this is coming from someone who's not a fan of his.
We are just too hurt and are nowhere near SA's level right now. It was expected that we'd lose this game, and lose big. Things would be a lot different had Kobe, Nash, Blake, and Meeks not been injured.
It is what it is, but I still hope Dwight chooses to stay with the agreement that MDA leaves.

Well, whatever the case, it's not such a big deal. One thing this season and post-season has proved is that Howard cannot carry a team. He's no Kobe Bryant or Tim Duncan, for that matter. In many ways, I'd rather have Pau Gasol.

If that's the case, he should go to Houston. Harden can carry a team and with Dwight that's pretty deadly. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

Why would Harden/Dwight be any better than Harden/Kobe? The only reason is because Dwight would want it to clearly be HIS team. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

Might be better for him. Though I'm not that nuts for Harden either.

that makes almost perfect sense. solid young core. nice backup center in asik for decent price and quite a bit of money to spend

Because I think Dwight will come to the harsh realization that he can't win it all by himself. If Lebron couldn't do it, how can he? Harden/Dwight probably sounds great to him right about now as he looks at Duhon/Morris/Glock as his guards, or a 40 year old Nash next year. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

harden can't carry a team.. at best houston would just be a lateral move for dwight not to mention all the $$$ he would be leaving in LA.

If its about money.....Jimmy will keep D'Antoni and not sign Dwight to a Max.
Kupchak has stated that they are going to keep D'Antoni and give him a fair chance at a full season next year.
Jimmy has more control over Mike than he does Dwight.
Another question is.....do the LAKERS release NASH? Dude is done in more ways than one.

Yes. 40 y.o. Nash can carry the team next year, or a 33 year old Pau or a slowed down MWP.
Seriously?
And btw, the $ is apparently that much of a difference, approximately $3.5m difference. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals

ppl really need to do their research instead of regurgitating the same recycled nonsense. he wouldn't really lose THAT much
hopefully they do keep him, dwight leaves, Lakers tank for the number 1-3 pick in the draft. Im all for tanking a season if its going to help speed up the process and open a new window.
Sorry this one is closed Kobe or no kobe. That 30 million he gets just cripples the team that has howard and gasolwith big time contracts.
