If healthy definitely one of the better offensive teams in the leauge. Depending on playoff matchups, I think a possble 2nd round/WCFs. |
How do you get that to a Finals team. A legitimate sixth man scorer perhaps? |
Yes, a good perimeter scorer off the bench. For all I knock him, mabye Glock. I would say Shannon Brown, but I read here he is staying. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.

In a S&T the 1akers wou1d want ECs and prospects that make as 1itt1e sa1ary as possib1e, hard to find any team that wou1d want Asik that had ECs that cou1d match his sa1ary
GS is a much better fit in terms of straight matching sa1aries |

Not sure about that either, but Turner is a good prototype of the type of player the Lakers should be looking for with Asik (if it comes to that) |

I'd be surprised if a number of teams don't want Asik for merely an above average wing. |

You DON'T trade TRobinson for trash without having some sort of a verbal agreement from Dwight's agent that is is coming to Houston. They easily could have offered him a theoritical max deal (4 yrs, 88 mil) and if he took it, then make the Robinson trade. Fact that it already went down a BAD sign for us.
|
Wow, so that is what collusion looks like. Quite the opposite, they can't offer Howard something they don't have (max contract space). It had to be done to even make the offer. |
No, but Howard can say he is signing with them, and the Rockets then create cap space for his max. |
Howard would be an idiot if he did that. More like that is the first team he crosses off his list for offering something they don't have. |
*face palm*
Yeah, LeBron/Wade/Bosh look real stupid for having to wait for Pat Riley to deal Beasley.
Oh wait... no, because teams can work out deals for a player (say Thomas Robinson) in advance, and when the player agrees to sign, you go through with the deal. |
Lebron/Wade/Bosh have nothing to do with this, they aren't meeting with the Rockets in a few minutes. And they did agree to less because that was all Riley could do. You can put a hundred million dollars of trust in the Rockets, but I sure as hell wouldn't. What a sell, we would do anything to sign you Dwight. Except trade a young player who isn't in our plans unless you say you will sign. What a sales pitch! _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

FWIW: Adande was on ESPN about 45 minutes ago after the baseball game and said that what he's hearing is that LAL has almost no chance of signing DH. _________________ LBJ + AD = More rings

I know they like Tyreke Evans but I doubt they could work a S and T. The Lakers' salary even with Howard gone at best would 70m.
The other option would be to take on Asik at 8m (not a bad deal for him) and then deal Pau opening up room for a S and T for Tyreke Evans.
That puts the team ahead in terms of rebuilding. |

Arash Markazi @ArashMarkazi 47s
Lakers all-in on signing Dwight Howard. A sign-and-trade is not an option they're considering.
P.S. Basicly it's Howard or rebuild/retool. |

Wade convinced the other 2 to take less so they could sign Mike Miller |
