The post got deleted but I'm guessing they "came up" with the L+R=J theory. If that's the case, there is absolutely ZERO chance anyone came up with that by watching the show alone. There hasn't been even close to a tell that would lead one to go down that route. Not one.
I mean just stop your bs'ing already. Holy hell it's comical. Well...I just kind of came up with that now. Right... |
So that's what they were discussing? lol.
I continue to be a believer of W+N=J, but I certainly recognize the points made for that popular theory. There's no way in hell anyone can guess that without reading the books or even asoiaf/reddit forums. |
The amount of digging that those forums came up with to draw that conclusion came from people literally re-reading the books multiple times over to find the few passages that would even lead one down that path. As a first time reader, personally there was no way I would have even given his heritage more than a passing thought much less the detailed conclusion these guys have come to. |

The wiki for the books has the theory laid out and I have to say it is pretty convincing. |

Apparently the showrunners were quizzed in that interview you cited in the last page. They guessed it correctly and Martin gave them the green light to do the show as a result. I'm almost certain after this tidbit that they gave the R+L=J theory to Martin as an answer. |

LOL, L + R = J only the hard core readers would know or the people that have read the GoT wiki.
There is 0% chance someone could derive L + R = J ... the only REAL crumb has been Oberyn Martell's comment to Tyrion about Rhygaer have an affair w/someone else when he was married to Elia Martell. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

Outstanding. I may have to watch the series one day.
Naw, I still have PTSD from reading all of those damn books back to back. |

You haven't watched the series?
Highly recommended. Rarely has film/TV done such justice to a novel. Do it . |

Tyrion? Ah...what? |
He's messing with you.

I initially thought it was a typo, like Tywin, not Tyrion. Though considering how Tyrion's story is fleshing out in the books, a death may not be a bad thing after all. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Nevermind LS.
Absolutely no mention of Tysha totally changes everything surrounding Jamie and Tyrion's relationship from the book and why Tyrion went to kill Tywin in the first place. |

A Lady Stoneheart ending scene would have been wild and drove show watchers wild, it also seems more fitting for LSH to be a season ender than a season opener if they plan on including her at all. So needless to say, I'm kind of disappointed that she didn't make an appearance, regardless, I enjoyed the episode a fair bit, just a minor complaint I have aside from LSH is Tyrion's escape felt a bit rushed. The whole thing would have held so much more weight if they included Jaime telling Tyrion the truth about his wife Tysha, rather than Tyrion just all of a sudden getting angry out of the blue and deciding to pay Tywin a visit. |

Yes, they skipped the Tysha motive for Tyrion.
Anyone notice Melisandre giving Jon Snow an interesting look? It was as if she knew or could sense his royalty bloodline. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

Whoa...
So they whacked Jojen. Hmmm...don't know how I feel about that.
Wow did Brienne give Sandor an epic ass beating. That's one BIG BIATCH!
What an episode. |

Agreed on Tysha, especially since Tyrion lies in anger to Jamie saying he did kill Joffrey. Seems like Jamie and Tyrion have a rift, one that might have consequences someday if they meet again. Jamie thinks Tyrion killed his kid, Tyrion enraged lets him believe that. Seems kind of important.
I dont get why LSH is such a big item on the wishlist. Doesnt seem so huge in the books.
Are those skeleton things in the book, and what or whose are they? Are they walkers? |

It wasn't necessary imo. They featured Shae 10x more in the show and it was easier to use that as a part of his motivation to whack Daddy. It's cleaner and better this way. |

Totally agree too much back and fill ... intricate characters and plot, no need to confuse the viewers. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

So last night the old man in the tree ... he said Bran won't walk again but he will "FLY".
I know Martin is still writing the books but do you guys think Bran will ultimately use his "Warg" powers to take over one of the Dragons? Specifically the big black one. _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

Wow, that would be amazing. I just took it as him using his warg powers to take over a crow or a bird lol. |
