Elvin Hayes leads the Hickory Hoosiers to a five point victory over the visiting Houston Rockets. Hayes scored 32 points and had 12 rebounds. The story for the Rockets was Charles Barkley fouling out after only 14 minutes of service. Asked what he thought of head referee Tim Donaghy, Barkley replied, "He stinks! And not even Old Spice with Heat Guard Protection® could take away his turrible stench on this game."

Houston Rockets - 96
Hickory Hoosiers - 101

The Miami Heatles cruise at home to defeat the Cleveland Rocks. The Heatles allow only 40% shooting from the field to the Rocks. McDyess led the way with 23 points, but it's KG's line of 17-13-5-2-1 which earns him POG.

Cleveland Rocks - 88
Miami Heatles - 106

The Golden State 49ers conjure up a furious comeback against the Portland Pale Alers, stealing the game with a 99-97 home win. Down 12 to begin the 4th, the 49ers went on a 27-13 run to take a 93-91 lead with 2:33 left in the game; they would extend that to a 95-91 lead on a pair of Bob McAdoo free throws. The Pale Alers were able to tie it at 97-all on a Karl Malone jumper with 37 seconds left, but Gary Payton's clutch bucket with 17 seconds to go proved to be the game winner. Tyson Chandler scored 15 points on 7/10 shooting and grabbed 12 rebounds; he is your Player of the Game.

The Alpacas would make a run, but the margin was too big to overcome. LeBron James was the Player of the Game, scoring 28 points, grabbing 6 boards and passing his way to 8 assists on the night. Kevin Durant had a big game for the Alpacas, scoring 29 points on 9/19 shooting.

The Spirit of St. Louis take advantage of an ice cold 4th quarter from the Manhattan Alpacas on their way to a 118-98 victory. The Alpacas couldn't buy a bucket in the 4th, hitting just 3 shots in 22 attempts before 3 straight baskets in the final minute. With 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 blocks, Bill Russell is your Player of the Game.

A revised line-up has resulted in better play, as the Los Angeles Lakers win their 2nd in a row, beating the visiting Phoenix Fury 103-94. The Fury made it a game late, cutting it to within 4 on an Elton Brand jumper with 20 seconds left, but the Lakers knocked down their free throws while the Fury misfired the rest of the way. With 19 points, 15 rebounds and 4 blocks, Hakeem Olajuwon is your Player of the Game.

In a controversial decision due to a scorer's error, the San Antonio Burrs and the Seattle Kings of Sacramento are forced to re-play their 11/2 contest. Despite their second chance, the Burrs are unable to complete a furious comeback that had them within two points late in the fourth quarter after being down by as many as 27 early in the third quarter. Shaquille O'Neal scored 20 points on 10/14 shooting and pulls down 9 rebounds to go along with 5 assists to earn him player of the game honors. Tim Duncan carries the Burrs with 29 points and 16 rebounds.
