Just a little tidbit:

Quote:
Dwight doesn’t really want to go to Houston, he doesn’t want to leave L.A. He loves being in L.A. What the Lakers’ front office does, or may not do, may be a contributing factor in his decision, but end of the day think Dwight probably stays.

IF the balls in the FO's court, then let's see how they respond....hopefully nothing to do with the Mamba...

i honestly think he's going to try and force his way to the clips with cp3. that was the original plan, he's in the city he likes, has the better outlook going forward, and he can get all his money. seems to make the most sense to me quite honestly.

No kidding. Dwight wants to keep maximize income and pleasure. We knew that... despite the Houston fan claims to the contrary.

The tip off should have been the Clippers rumors. He doesn't want to leave Los Angeles.

will i? probably not after being frustrated watching him this year

cant fault a guy for choosing a better option. and if he can net us griffin and bledsoe then he's not really leaving us in the lurch either.

Hopefully Mitch can make some moves to get younger and that will help appease Dwight.

But will it work if he pairs up with Lebron?

I think Dwight has a conflict:

On the one hand he wants to win, to be the man while having a supporting guy to help carry the load, to have fun, to not feel the pressure, to be surrounded by like minded guys.

On the other, he likes living in LA and all that that entails, and doesn't want to be seen as a coward or team jumper, and, despite hating the pressure, loves the rest of what comes with being a Laker.

Eric Pincus: The Lakers can't sign and trade Howard because their over the luxury tax. However they can trade someone on thier roster i.e Gasol for Kevin Love.

I'll believe it when I see it, although my inclination has always been that he will come back and re-sign

whats it matter? either dwight is leaving or he's not. its better to get griffin as a result if thats the way its gonna be, for nothing else than a valuable trade asset. aside from that, i dont think we're getting lebron, and it would be foolish to plan as if we are. but beyond all that, i think that those two would work better than he and wade.

And you know what his agent wants.

Dwight will stay in LA.

But still, this puts into question: who blinks first? Dwight or the Lakers?

If Dwight's aim is to stay in LA, does he have the cajones to do the Machiavellian maneuvering to force the front office to do a S&T with the Clips?

Or will he pull the same crap as last year and re-sign and then piss and moan?

That would be where i would place my money if I was forced to bet. I put it about 3-2. Of course, it is Dwight, so I would avoid betting on him at all.
