Shaq has been right about DH this whole time.. He called him out on his game, his attitude, his skillset and even his leadership. Even when we had Dwight he went as far as saying Gasol and Bynum were better big men than Dwight. He was right this whole time.. despite the drama he created in the past My Respect for Shaq Oneal has increased...

Shaq has always been a true Laker, unfortunately financial disagreement was made between Jerry Buss and Shaq... which is why he left.

No - he will always be a Laker great but it doesn't make me forget how badly he left the organization. He also skipped Chick Hearn's funeral. Maybe he has matured, but in my eyes the true representative of the Lakers since Magic retired is and can only be Kobe Bryant.

Yes. I love Shaq again.

Especially when he talks about the Dwight Coward.

Jerry Buss was not in the funeral does that make him less of a true Laker?

My respect for what Shaq accomplished while he was a Laker has never whaned or will it. What he said afterwards and the ways about it pissed me off royally. Time has passed and like the saying says "time heals all wounds" I have mostly forgiving Shaq because after all there will only ever be one Shaq just like there will always be only one Kobe.

Absolutely. Makes me appreciate Shaq's on court play much more.

if you're going to be a douche, at least deliver monster numbers on the court. which Shaq did.

Definitely. Shaq PROVED he was dominant. All Dwight has done is claim he's dominant.

True. He backed up his words on the court. If he and Kobe would have got along, we were basically looking at 5-8 championships in a row sort of thing.

I don't think many of us are complimenting his off the court behavior; rather appreciating what he did on the court. Made Dwight look very...human.

Now that he no longer plays for the Celtics, I suppose it's improved a little.

But I sincerely doubt it will ever return to the level of respect I had for him when he was playing for the Lakers.

This observation I can get behind.

Publicly chastising other players just to get attention is not something that would raise the amount of respect I have for him -- on the contrary. It's middle-school behavior at best.

Will always appreciate how Diesel came through and delivered a three-peat. A three-peat!

Howard... eh... not so much.

Howard gave this team zero playoff wins. It doesn't get worse than that.

Shaq would hate on Dwight even if he stayed in LA. This thread is basically "the enemy of my enemy is my friend". I'll always appreciate the 3 championships that Shaq brought to LA, but he is a traitor too, joining D-Whistle and the Cheat, then the Suns when they were a semi-rival of ours, then the C's. He even joined the Cavs when everyone on here hated the them.

Sad that such a dominant guy ended up being a glorified ring chaser in his waning years.
