42% from deep this season (and 2/3 of his total shots are from there).
He was an LG whipping boy throughout the offseason.
But he's performed consistently for us throughout this young season.

This was what I said last year. In the right role with the right guidance, he's a quality guy at a value price. |

Lakers' Nick Young looks to boost younger players while waiting for his breakthrough
Quote: | The self-proclaimed "Swaggy P" is off to an average start. His 10.3 points per game are neither here nor there as the Lakers stumble to a 2-9 start.
His accuracy is notable, 43.4% from three-point range, but his minutes are nominal, down to 20.4 a game. |

When Nick Young is becoming the voice of reason and making logical sense in the locker room... we know we got HUGE issues.

why do people here hate Nick so much? you can't blame him for some of the things he has done/said. the guy didn't come here to tank every season. must be getting frustrated and now gets benched for speaking his mind on the state of the team. hopefully they trade him to a decent team so he doesnt have to deal with this mess. |

Nick Young has played well this year. Was he really benched today? Haven't been watching the game but I see he's played zero minutes so far, what exactly did he say? |

“We’re a circus,” Young said. “We’re playing terrible. We lost to Philly. Philly! What does that make us?” |

He's actually become a good piece. A gunner who every team has. Never trips on his role. Great locker room guy. Has toned down his swaggyness |

I think what disturbs me about it is that it is obviously in response to Young criticisizing the circus act. But I think Young was right in that case. Maybe he shouldn't have gone public with it, but as a result of that I think he's gotten back to back DNPs. |

Better believe it. This is the same guy that benched Clarkson in the 4th tonight when he was shooting great.
You just can't make this (bleep) up. Right when Young is finally having a decent season, he gets benched. _________________ Darvin Scam: https://media.tenor.com/images/3c15249955860a4b16b59e8ae035fb75/tenor.gif |

This is (bleep) nuts... He's been our best SF all year, even taking a step back on offense, yet he gets benched. All so Metta and Lou can take all the minutes. Asinine |

Lou's actually been playing really well as of late. Metta's minutes should be going to Nick. The minutes of another player that should not be mentioned could be reduced by about 10 or so a game. There's no way Nick shouldn't have 15-20 minutes a game on this roster. |

Good thing Nick is still under contract, or A-Hole Byron would cost us another good role player with nothing in return like Ed Davis. |

I'm starting to like the guy. I actually prefer him over Lou at this point. Pun intended. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |
