Here is another potential sign that the injury isn't serious
Young will probably miss 3-4 games at most if I had to guess, and if it's worse he will most likely be out until Feb/March but that is the (absolute worse case scenario). |
If he's walking, then that's a good thing |

Another good twist is that Randle said post-game that Young is a fun dude and that he might have overreacted

I've seen a few and they didn't roll around in pain like Nick Young did. A guy I work with tore his and calmly asked if one of us had kicked him. |
yeah I think Kobe asked Barnes if he had kicked him too. I don't think a tear yields intense pain but I've never experienced this |

Elton Brand would disagree about just how painful it is. |

Injuries are pilling up. Hoping it's nothing too serious, NY has been balling for us. |

One month of satisfaction doesn't prove 2 years of horrible player. The guy is a showcase and all about him.
Maybe the team will find a true identity now and not rely on "uncle P"....

I appreciate you calling me stupid. Look at the facts though "son".
Everyone wanted him gone and even waived before the season. He had 1 good month and everyone wants to give him a new deal. LOOK at the whole picture.
Where was he last year? Crying over iggy.
The year before he was blaming Mike Dantoni who just made James harden into a beast.
Should I go on?
He is only counted on during contract years, and I feel bad he's hurt for our own purpose, but he doesn't do good to us other years. |
The bolded is not true, again, your truths and facts aren't really either. |
Should I link the "should Nick young be cut?",thread or the "Nick young is expected to be cut before training in camp" thread? Facts are facts. Everyone wanted him gone and as soon as he performs well during s contracts year like he did before, everyone wants to keep him.
I've been a Laker can since 98 and Nick Young is not Laker material. We can agree to disagree but it seems like everyone is too young to realize what Laker material is, and that's not a show clown.
I spoke my peace and how I feel. Rant against me all you want idc. Just speaking the truth. |
You keep saying facts and truth but nick only played one year under dantoni and the two down years were with Byron Scott. When in the hell did young play 2 years under dantoni????? |

Oh no, just emphasis When Elton Brand experienced one during practice, he was reportedly screaming. So yeah, no little thing, Kobe was just unreal in how much pain he could take and how much will he had. |

Not to take anything away from Kobe because what he did was absolutely insane but often a clean tear is less painful than a strain. |

Losing young is a huge blow to this team
Even if his defense doesn't translate to ofg%, his effort is contagious. Offensively, it's the same way. His shots are huge for momentum
It's gonna be hard to win games without nick young _________________ Kobe |

Hopefully not serious but with Achilles injuries - scary.
Young has been a big asset to the team this year. |

I had a knee tweak once while playing hoops that had me rolling on the cement for a few secs. I think the toe of my shoe caught on the pavement while I made contact with a defender something. I remember falling completely backwards on top of my leg. I thought I did something disastrous going by the initial pain. Then it subsided pretty quick. Even Kupchack said something similar after he blew his ACL out. I don't know about an Achilles, but the feeling of the initial pain and shock could be pretty variable from player to player. Kobe took a worse tumble than many past NBA Achilles tears, though. Nique and Isiah Thomas just hopped on one foot during their tears. They both tried to make a first step and pop. I can tell you this. I haven't seen too many clips of players yelling AHHH! AHH! that ended well. I think of the Bynum injury when Kobe fell on him. That looked bad, sounded bad, and wuz bad. _________________ GOAT MAGIC REEL

He had his best season under D'antoni. D'antoni gave nothing but praise in regards to Nick. He never complained about D'antoni.
He had two bad seasons and they were both coincidentally under Byron.
And he has been one of our better players this year. Really important piece to our success so far.
You're honestly making 0 sense. |
This is a fact. Swaggy did well with MDA then tanked under Byron. Now he has a non-gargoyle coach and he is doing well again. Please keep your negativity to your self BS. _________________ R.I.P. Doc Buss |

Nick Young told Mark Medina that he's fine that is a whole lot different then Kobes situation were he knew he wasn't gonna be the same.. ( although not sure if both situations are comparable)

I expect Young to be back in a few games.. dude probably did some good acting ala Paul Pierce. |

Strained right calf muscle. Out 2-4 weeks. Probably one of the best case scenarios for him. Team is going to take some L's until at least DLOs back, but it's a tough schedule anyway. Get well soon, Nick! _________________ Austin Reaves

Nick Young Injury Update
EL SEGUNDO – Lakers guard/forward Nick Young, who was injured in the first quarter of last night’s game at New Orleans, had an MRI exam today in Chicago. The results show a strained calf muscle in his right leg. Young is expected to be out approximately 2-4 weeks.
