Nick Young Injury Update

EL SEGUNDO – Lakers guard/forward Nick Young, who was injured in the first quarter of last night’s game at New Orleans, had an MRI exam today in Chicago. The results show a strained calf muscle in his right leg. Young is expected to be out approximately 2-4 weeks.

that was seriously best case scenario, thank God

Wow. Still have that major gaping hole at both starting guard spots until DLO/Swaggy can come back.

Probably Calderon/JC, but that leaves us deathly thin at SG on the bench.

I wonder what the narative would be had we signed Thibs instead of Walton and he had our players playing 34 minutes + with the injuries pilling up. Just goes to show injuries happen pretty randomly.

I'am glad it's not serious. Get well Nick.

My estimation was almost on point, I said he will miss 1-2 weeks and looks like I was off for a couple of weeks.

I'm Nostradamus!

the SWAG will be missed until he recovers.

frustrating how injuries are derailing out season despite the great fight the team has been putting up.

Swag has been a true irrational confidence, catch-shooter this year. JC brings a different type of play at SG. Less catch/shoot this year it seems.

2-4 weeks is absolutely the best case scenario, we dodged a major
bullet, we might not need to make a move for McLemore.

After dodging a bullet, are you then trying to run into one?

What is that even supposed to mean? My post was about the Lakers being lucky that Youngs injury wasn't serious.

I was really sad about Nick Young, it brought me back memories from Kobe going down in a way that I couldn't even stand watching this game anymore.

Hope he can get back healthy soon. We are missing Dlo with a somewhat concerning and mysterious knee problem and now our starting SG

Should cut Huertes and sign Archie Goodwin

Silver lining i all this-- start BI and let this be an opportunity for him to be the team's go to guy. Will pay dividends later.

I've said the same exact thing about Huertas/Goodwin.

Huertas literally does nothing for us at the moment. We have 4 guys (when DLO is back) who play or can play PG (DLO/JC/Lou/Jose).

Time to showcase Jose 'two 2nd Rd picks' Calderon...
Then we trade him when SwaggyP returns, for 2 more 2nd Rd picks

Lol. He'd have a statue outside of Staple Center if he could land us 4 2nd rounders.

Signing Goodwin actually makes a ton of sense, and he might be another Bazemore were he finds a role in the NBA.

I hope the FO takes a look at him.

Glad it's only a calf strain. Mitch needs to cut Huertas and go after a SG

Great news.

I had this problem kind a few times, it may take 2 or 3 weeks to heal.

Ben McLemore
Archie Goodwin
Anthony Morrow
Robert Convington

Lol at thinking Mitch will make a mid season move. Funny. I can't remember the last time he did... Steve Blake trade maybe?

Eventually a trade happens, that's the beauty of it.
