Hope he twists an ankle or something minor that keeps him off the floor for the last 3 games. |

That is sadly what many angry fans are thinking/saying. Swaggy won't like that at all. He had no idea how much hate he's in for. His joy and gloating is rubbing it in.....saying "Swaggy P can play a little bit"!!
He's too damn happy that he looked good tonight....only worried about showcasing himself not the team at all. |

I might be a bit peeved at tonight's W, but I won't ever chastise a player for wanting to win. I still want Swaggy back. _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.

He did what he was supposed to...he tried to play well and win the game.
Contrast the Jazz and how they intentionally quit playing hard. |

Garbage low IQ player thatvwanted to continue gunning because he's too stupid to do otherwise. MDA is also at fault for keeping him in. I hope he goes takes a $5M offer and leaves. He's a good player on a bad team, but today proved he's still a low IQ player. He wasn't willing to sacrifice personal accomplishment for the greater good of the team. |

Sadly most fans don't feel that way....not for this important game!! His gloating and being so thrilled for himself makes it much worse. He has no idea the backlash he's in for and I think he's like D12 and won't take it....he'll bolt. So it was a double dagger today. |

I missed the game but see that Nick had himself a big game. What do you mean by gloating? Nick is usually a happy, confident dude. |

Games like this are why the Jazz have never won anything, and this group of young guys they have now will never win anything. They let up and purposely lost the game. They're losers. |

You sound like a clipper fan. just pathetic.
You don't EVER EVER EVER root for your team to lose. It angers the basketball gods and then you're really screwed.
I've been watching you tweet all kinds of nonsense. Begging for torn ACLs and other crap.
You're asking for something awful to happen in your life. |

It's easy to play well when the other team wants to lose. That's like dominating your handicapped little brother in one on one. He's a scrub player who can put up some points from time to time. |

Did you watch the game and the post game interview? He was bragging about his game. He said he was showing that "Swaggy P can ball". Totally showcasing himself. |

They're in Salt Lake. They can't attract big name FA's.They know they have to build through the draft. |

swaggy has always been that way.
like he said before, he doesnt mind playing the spoiler. hate, hate, hate, hate...
if he stays and we get a decent outcome off our pick, id be okay.
But hes going to get good offers Id assume. Something the Lakers wont be able to match(because of the "plan") |

The basketball gods already disowned us for firing all those people before the lockout. NOTHING has gone right since that point in time. |

What were the Lakers supposed to do when the Jazz started to play suck ball? Try to play even worse? |

We have Jimbo. Free agents saw how he did Phil, and how he botched the Dwightmare. They know it might be a good idea to STFA. |

It's not even about this game. The approach to this whole year was flawed. This was a lottery team from the beginning. They should've maximized their draft position better. That was up to management. MDA couldn't careless about the Lakers. He will be happy when they get worse pick and he's cashing his checks in. We'll see what happens with the lottery. |

Not in tank mode? I'd say with pretty much everyone missing big chunks of games, from Kobe, to Gasol, to Henry, to Farmar.
Then you have MDA having the team jacking 3's, NOT playing Kaman, NOT trading Gasol.
This was quite a "competiive" tank. They let journeymen at best players play their hearts out, and they won just enough games to not be awful.
The reason they didn't go 76ers tank mode is the Lakers are not really identfying any 1 player they want. Picking, 4-7th doesn't really matter, he will still be a player the team can use.
Also there is the player factor - the players themselves hate to lose, and its hard for them to just play bad or not give it a good effort. As Nick Young said, losing means (essentially) the team gets a better draft player, more of a chance you or one of your teammates loses their job to the rookie. Hence, players have a built in incentive to try not to lose. |

Stop blaming him, guys. Seriously. Even, D'Antoni or Mitch - There was no way to predict that they'd (Meeks/Young) have big games. This team has sucked the whole year. |
