I went from totally wtfing when Adler spoke or appeared on air, to actually rooting for her and finding her endearing. I don't know, her quirkiness kinda grew on me. Wish her the best.
Although my heart will miss Andy, my testicles will appreciate Jamie.

I lobbied for her and cooper and now they're both on twcsn! Happy to see and she's smokin hot.
but the Lakers (since they're calling the editorial shots) need to learn that even with a great talent like maggio on board its not going to mean nothing if the content isn't interesting.
I didn't see her on tonight but was she reading tweets? It says she'll host #Lakeshow, well most people think lakeshow is useless overkill. They need better ideas.
Andler deleted her twitter some time ago, she messed up many times. When dunlevy was on they were saying "count on dunlevy" and then adler comes on and says "yea cat on dunlevy i like that." embarrassing. That's a hard job |

I like Dave Miller. Hope he stays! I don't get all the DM hate here. 
I feel bad for Adler. She ran the table discussions well toward the end of last season. Reading tweets was where she struggled. I liked her....she's very likable. I always felt she was really rooting for us....not just doing her job. I think guys here didn't like her because she was thin and not "smokin hot". |

Jaime is easy on the eyes and from what little of her broadcasts I've seen, she'll likely do a good job.
But Andy Adler was the least of the problems on Access Sportsnet Lakers. The entire show is a mess, top to bottom.
It's very sad that the Los Angeles Lakers, the org that brought the world Chick F Hearn, can't do a better job with their broadcasts. The whole thing needs to be dumped over and re-imagined from soup to nuts.
One hint...it doesn't take 4 or 5 people, talking as loudly and with as much physical animation as they can muster, fist bumping and saying "Respect!", to pull off a simple pregame show.
The game telecasts are equally as bad. At least Stu doesn't openly hate Bill McDonald the way he did Joel Meyers. But the game broadcasts are in serious need of a complete overhaul as well. |

| Jaime Maggio is pretty - I wouldn't call her smoking hot though. This is TV - I would imagine there would be a line of "10's" out the door. They may not want to work in sports journalism though. |

I'm not a guy so her looks weren't a factor. I didn't like AA because she was inarticulate and difficult to listen to (not just when reading tweets), and she wasn't a good interviewer. Problematic when her job was to speak and read and interview.
I semi-like coach BUT he is just loud as hell and now he's seriously developed the habit of talking over people. Rude and unpleasant to listen to. I've heard him in other situations where he wasn't yelling etc and he was fine. He just needs to calm down for real when he's on TWS. |

Now I feel guilty for not liking Andy Adler and the kicker is I would bet that most of the reason that I found her so bad on TWC is not even her fault. I'm sure she did exactly what the suits behind the scenes wanted her to do... its just that her role was poorly designed. It seemed like they wanted a cheerleader type personality to read tweets and moderate discussions, but it was annoying because the concept was annoying to begin with. I hope she does well and if I ever see her in public, I'll have some kind words for her.
Jamie Maggio has done work in Laker pregame shows and on the NFL Network and I think she will be a fine addition to the broadcast team. She is professional and doesn't force an over the top happiness that would be better suited for a TGIFridays restaurant hostess. She's cute but I doubt will have to resort to forcing her sexuality on me like the feeling I got from Adler alot of times. I think she will be able to bring more to the table than just filling the token female role.
Good luck to both Andy and Jamie in their futures.

Adler was horrendous at the beginning of last year but I stopped noticing her oratorical deficiencies by the end.
TWC Sports Net was pretty damn boring last year, hopefully they can hire some people this time around who aren't high all of the time (i.e. Robert Horry). |

I think they need to feature Mike Trudell more. That guy is the best thing they've got going broadcast-wise.
Inserting him into Ireland's role would be a great start. Trudell in Billy Mac's spot while you're at it.
They can get new creative people to re-boot the entire thing but, for starters, this would be the easiest way to boost the quality of their broadcasts. |
