Baze and Henry can both handle, drive, defend and dish (a little). They actualy would compliment each other pretty well if you wanted a two guard front from your bench. They are both injury prone though.
Young and Meeks are better than the aforementioned offensively and Young is the most talented of the group. I would bring back Baze, Henry and Young, with Meeks a Young-alternative if the pricetag limits other options. Then try to get Brandon Rush on a minimum flyer (top 5 3-pt shooter in the league coming off an ACL year). That's pretty good SG/SF depth beyond Bryant hopefully keeping most of the cap room for other starter spots. |
Not sure if it's fair to call Baze injury prone yet. _________________ Kobe |

The team had a good bunch of bench and role players last season. |
Thats what Ive been saying. All it would take would be at most 13 million to bring back like 5 or 6 of the players from last season. As starters, they're miserable. As a bench unit? A complete change-of-pace team who complement each other very well.
Build the bench on the cheap for multiple years then go get your starters. Having talent from top to bottom comes in handy. Being top heavy and then having stiffs from 5 to 12 doesnt always work.
They could sign their bench this year for multiple years + one solid starter.. then also be free agent players the next two years with 14+ million in cap space each year. |

I would absolutely love to have a bench rotation that had most of the guys from last year on it.
starter? / Farmar / Marshall
Kobe / Xavier Henry
starter? / Kent Bazemore / Wesley Johnson
starter? / Ryan Kelly
starter? / Sacre
I'm assuming Nick Young and Jodie Meeks will accept bigger offers that the Lakers won't care to match. _________________ You are either in or on your way to the NBA Finals. |

Really? You buy all the calls they get? Well, Manu actually does a good job of moving away. I can't say the same for Harden. He'll put his knees in your chest and get the call. |

X doesn't have that Euro step. To Harden's credit he does (and I agree he gets way too many calls, but he has a Euro step move). _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

X doesnt have a Euro Step move? wow. i'd say 40% of his FG's this year were off Euro Step moves. 90% of his FG's in the paint at least ; and thats where he scores most of his points. |

Quote: | Developed in European basketball, the move is generally accepted to have been brought to the NBA by Lithuanian Šarūnas Marčiulionis, though there is footage of Elgin Baylor performing a similar move in an early-1960s game, possibly before Marčiulionis was born, as well as Julius Erving in a 1974 ABA playoff game, and Archie Clark in a 1972 ABA vs. NBA All-Star Game,[3] and was popularized in North America by Manu Ginóbili, an Argentine who arrived in the NBA from the Italian league. It has since been adopted by many American-born players, among them James Harden, Dwyane Wade and Rajon Rondo, as well as Slovenian point guard Goran Dragić. Noted college coach John Calipari is also known for teaching the move; among his former players who frequently use the move in the NBA are Tyreke Evans, Derrick Rose and John Wall.[1] It has become a popular move in streetball used by many notable blacktop players such as Alazar "The Czar" Moges among others. Xavier Henry of the Los Angeles Lakers is also a noted "euro stepper;" though many believe otherwise, it is estimated 40% of his field goals were off the Euro Step, with at least 90% of his paint scoring at minimum. |

It's more of a Slow-ro step, cuz his euro step is slow.
More important than that, work on your mid range jumper, floater and defense. Then you won't have to worry about charging into folks. |

Eric Pincus @EricPincus 8h
Lakers can look to re-sign Xavier Henry - he wants to be back - they don't have much more than min to offer |

Oh sweet I think this kid has loads of potential and is a good character guy. X can develop into a very good player and he's a good defender with some toughness. |
