Still no thread for this? The winner goes to the Confederations Cup in Russia in 2017. I think that's a pretty big deal, especially with the uncertainty surrounding the Copa America tournament next year.

Klinsman is 3-0-3 against Mexico.

It's on FS1 and should start in the next 10-15 minutes at the latest. Stadium is full and they look ready to go.

My buddy is at the game. Said he started tailgating around 1230. Texted me a pic inside stadium and it was packed. Hope he comes back in 1 piece. Lol

Hope Team USA pulls its off just to stick it to Landon Donovan....

I'm always disappointed to see this. Easily remedied by sending an army of INS agents at the exits.

Entertaining game but I was disappointed to see Mexico look that much better. I've seen several people call for Klinsman to be fired already.

Funny how things change....a year ago Mexico was in disarray and Team USA was seen as the team on the way up....now the roles have been reversed.

This loss hurts. No Confederations Cup again and who knows how long it will be before the team plays in another one. It would be nice to compete in something that's a big deal besides a World Cup. I'm more interested than ever to see what happens with the Copa America in 2016.

Why was this game scheduled to be played here? don't they know that there's a huge Mexican fan base here that will give them a boost?I thought it was supposed to be a 'home' game. Play it in a city with American fans.

It would still probably have tons of Mexican fans and outnumber American fans. They are well traveled and follow their national team. If you don't believe me watch the games when their national team played in Charlotte, Philadelphia, Dallas, etc.
I don't think most American soccer fans understand how hardcore the Mexican fans follow their national team.

They will always have fans but I really doubt they would outnumber American fans in Boston, NY or Chicago. In any case it would never be as bad as it was last night in LA . Their biggest US population is right here.

I like how people are mad about the crowd. If you don't like it, support the team, buy tickets. This just shows you why our National team will never win anything. Soccer is life around the world, here it's something you play until you're 12.

Every single person in Mexico was watching this game. The country was shut down. Drug dealers took a break. Businesses shut down. Freeways were empty.

Here? More people were watching the Dodgers or college football.

It's not supposed to be a US home game.

They probably make more money if it's in the Rose Bowl.
