You mean Mr. "They don't intentionally hit players with pitches, they just pitch way way inside." |

Cue the conspiracy theorists...I'm all for happy endings, but seems a bit too scripted.....Not to mention the Orioles had it wrapped up so really nothing at stake for them. |
Funny enough I kept expecting this would happen in his final game at home.
Fitting way for him to go out. |

During the off-season, the Dodgers signed Haren (33) and the Giants signed Hudson (38).
Hudson 9-13, 3.57 (97), 189 1/3 inn > 2 yrs > $11/12M
Haren 13-11, 4.03 (87), 181 innings > 2 yrs > $10/10M (second year vested due to 180 innings pitched.
Here, we can see two roughly equivalent pitchers, but with one with the better win/loss percentage and the other with the better ERA and ERA+.
I tend to look at ERA as the better measure, but I don't discount wins and losses either.
The Dodgers are 2nd in runs scored and the Giants are 5th, but the Dodgers are 13th in defense and the Giants are 8th, so the other eight guys are pretty close to a wash, though I'd give the slight edge to the Dodgers.
Anyway, which guy was the better signing and which had the better season? _________________ "A metronome keeps time by using a Ringo" |

Haren's ERA bloated because he had a nasty rough patch of games. That seems to be behind him now. Haren heated up at exactly the right time, so I'll go with Haren. |

i hate the yankees.
i also hate the fact that its taboo to dislike jeter.
so what if i hate him because he plays for a certain team. |

So we draw STL in the first round? Are we expecting some dirty pitches again this year? |

Did you guys know that Dodger games have been broadcasted on local TV here in LA? It's been on KDOC for the past week now. I just now found this out. Why were we not informed about this before by like 32 or something? _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.

I'd be super duper pissed if I found out now...
...if anything the Kershaw game where they clinched the division was a good one. |

Yeah, I was still able to watch it on a stream. But, a stream is a stream. It's rare for me now to be able to catch Dodger or Laker games on TV. Damn, I miss watching games on KCAL. _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.

There's gotta be a way to play Turner everyday in the playoffs. Can he catch? _________________ The butter's hard and the eggs are chillin' in the dark.

Wonder if they fired him just for the satisfaction just because they could...since the GM is Dave Stewart who reported to Tony LaRussa....
