I actually loved the first since I appreciated the retro classic WW2 feel of the movie. Felt very much like underrated The Rocketeer and Raiders of the Lost Ark (not a coincidence considering Joe Johnston was involved in both).

Enjoyed the first one as well, wouldn't have minded a more standalone movie for CA2 either.

ScarJo FTW.

I really enjoyed ScarJo and Evan's chemistry together. Funniest part of the movie was Widow's War Games reference that a lot of people in my theater actually caught

Seeing this again tomorrow this time with my cousins.

Ended up re-watching The Avengers after this.

There were lots of hints in The Avengers about Winter Soldier.

Quote:
A scene after the capture of Loki where Cap found that SHIELD was storing Hydra equipment.

Quote:
Tony tries hacking SHIELD and discovers they were making WMD's like the ones in Winter Soldier but not before SHIELD stops the hack.

Quote:
b) A rogue SHIELD agent that Fury had no knowledge about who was following orders from the High Council who attempted to fire the missile to blow up New York without authorization from Fury and without the information even being released.

Quote:
c) A 5 min deleted scene called "Man out of Time" where Steve was looking through files of his old commrades, but 2 things stood out:

- Margaret "Peggy" Carter's information was there which is how he knew where to find her in Winter Soldier.

- Howard Stark and his wife's death were on the same exact date (December 17, 1991) . In Winter Soldier it's revealed Hydra had a hand in their deaths.

Uh-oh...

Need to see the movie, but I think part of the reason why so many records are getting broken lately is because of inflation and rising movie ticket prices.

Yeah, plus I love getting small popcorn and an icee, just caps out the movie experience. That adds up.

But watching big budget action flicks on Imax is a enjoyable experience.

Loved that reference, she had me in stitches when she said it. Surprised that Cap said he knew it already, by the list of things in his notepad he still had a lot of catching up to do. Enjoyed the ScarJo/Evans chemistry as well, hope your cousins will have a great time.

I'd think he'd watch Star Wars or at least the moon landing before WarGames. Priorities out of whack, Cap.

<shrug>

Didn't think people would take movie criticism so personally. My mistake, ladies.

Lol, "Criticism" says the obvious hater from the very beginning once the trailer hit.

Stop trying to do what? Express my opinion on a piece of entertainment?

I think you're just upset that someone disagrees with you. No need to panic, though, it won't be the last time...probably not on this site; definitely not on the internet.

So you've turned a thread containing varying opinions in an open discussion forum into your own personal scorecard? Fine by me, but just understand that the forum doesn't work that way.

Once again, I think you need to review the concepts of a.) disagreement, b.) human expression, and c.) the internet.

Apparently it's Captain America that is winning.
