We taking in all 4s & 5s...no way I can put him at 1 at that point when Love has been beastin. Still above very notable people this year such as Lee, the Gasols, Brook Lopez and even Dirk.
In what category? I can see if you want to give passing and back to the basket to Pau, or shooting to Dirk, etc. But the intensity and the effort Davis plays with makes him more impactful than those guys. He is like a spring board. They talk about how active players will give you two jumps to go for a rebound, I saw this guy giving 4 or 5 jumps on rebounds last night. He runs the floor faster than ALL of them, not even close (unless I am forgetting someone). He doesn't have all the skills of the players you mentioned, but when you factor in the age of Dirk, Pau, and Davis, I feel on any given night I would expect Davis to have the larger impact.
I was putting Davis above all of those guys lol.
Haha, yea I see that now. Kevin Love goes so unnoticed, I didn't even notice him in your post.
Davis is a power forward almost entirely based upon speed, he has almost no strength, but if you can't match his speed, you're going to get destroyed, hence why he got soooo many open dunks. The guy is basically the same height, wingspan, reach (give or take half an inch here and there) as Kevin Durant for example, athletically they're about the same (skillsets very different though).

I was wondering when you were going to slink back in the back door... _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

i'm not exactly sure that he is STILL 20lbs lighter. i watched our game against them, and the boy seemed to have worked out at the gym.
but i do agree that going forward, he should convert into a power forward.

I think half the problem is they just don't have a quality center, moreso than he is a center, but Gasol on Davis becoming Davis is the best in the league is like Hibbert on Bosh and Haslem making Hibbert the best center. It's just an unholy mismatch. That being said, their team is shooting 46% from 3 over the season (and without their best volume 3 point shooter arguably, Anderson), so their small lineups are on a tear.

That's a long flight. Two days. You know I'm just giving you a hard time right? _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel

Good young athletic player, needs to learn the NBA game better. He might be one of the best in the league in 4-5 seasons. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023.
Does this count as a well timed bump for the few who disbelieved me about Love > Davis. Davis is a much better defender no doubt, but Love has him beat on offense and rebounding.
not quite, KG's all around game is still better. maybe Davis will improve on that, but it's tough for someone his size to master the dribbling passing skills a young KG possessed.

He doesn't pass quite as well as young KG, but he is a great dribbler for his size. Remember, Davis was originally trained in his youth as a guard. It was only a growth spurt that forced him to PF. His dribbling and shooting are guard like. KG has him beat on post game and passing. I would also choose KG's defense, primarily his team defense. Davis is right there though. His passing game and post game are the last steps for him, I think.

He actually shows some footwork at the 1:15 mark. This kid is good. I didn't see him being a 20 and 10 player by his second year in the league, and I now think there is a chance he can be that.
I love his stroke and ability to run the floor. On top of that his athletism and defense. In a few years he will possibly be the best all around player.
This kid is a "block" machine. Back to back games with at least 8 blocks.
Tonight: 22 points, 9 boards, 8 blocks, and 4 assists.
He did it in 28mins against the 76ers too. He is a monster _________________ 2008-2009 NBA CHAMPIONS ------Your LOS ANGELES LAKERS!!
