You know, i'm not sure he's less of a prospect than Wiggins...

Wiggins/Randle/Exum/Parker/Smart are the 5 top prospects, and all top 1 to 2 type picks in any draft.

You can add another 5 guys to this list that will most probably be going 6 to 10 . These 6 to 10 picks are guys that in most drafts would be going 3 to 5.

Even guys 11-15 are guy's that in most other drafts could be going 6 to 8...It is a very deep draft, as deep a one as I can recall. And is also very top heavy, it could match the Bron/Melo/Wade draft as for elite prospects, but be much deeper at the same time .....

The season needs to play out before anyone can judge who really is #1. Plus it will depend on certain needs for individual teams... Parker looks like a young G.Hill. Wiggins like a "potential" Tmac in his prime before the injury bugs ...

Randle is a beast, and a best bet for a big in this draft.

Exum could be the dark horse. But let them play the games first.

But high odds are on Wiggins at this time.

Anyways the lakers are not tanking, and I am happy for this!

Even if the Lakers don't tank, there's a 50/50 chance we still make the lottery... not a bad year to suck although i feel blasphemous writing this lol.

The Lakers will make the playoffs, the only question is what seed we will be at....

these sort of threads are a disgrace and it gives us a bad image.

Fwiw, I do believe Parker will be a much better pro prospect than Wiggins and Randle. Give me Parker and Andrew Harrison at this time over Wiggins/Randle.

I'm not picky, I'd take Wiggins/Parker/Smart/Exum or Harrison.

The Lakers are so bereft of young talent that I would welcome ANY talented, young addition to the team. Especially one on a rookie contract.

Not tanking as long as Kobe is on the team.

I want the opposite.

Yes because during those 5 seasons, we're not going to sign any free agents or trade for any players that will make us more than a .500 team.

Have not been impressed with Andrew Harrison. But it's early.

What impresses me about Parker is his playmaking ability along with his scoring. He could develop into a point forward.

Sucking for one year and being set up for the next decade is better than being some 8th seed first round fodder for one year. I hope we can get one of these prospects + our cap space will have us in contention again soon with some nice possible FA signings in 2015 and beyond.

It's just sports--not religion. Do you want to be entertained or do you want to feel free of sin so that you may enter Sports Heaven?

at the end of the year, I hope all of you pious LG monks will be glad we have a mediocre prospect coming off a first round sweep, when we should have had a franchise player by doing the smart thing. There are future superstars in this draft, and we're pissing it away for a SHOT at a first round exit.

andrew harrison is the most skilled PG - will that shine through this year? idk.

Exum isnt skilled enough for me. his offensive game is identical to a Batum or Loul Deng. . . not worth a top 5 pick . star wings have a GREAT ability to create off the dribble - he has the ability of a Deng/Batum.

We'll have a franchise player next season, possibly two.

Can always tank down the road.

Like who? Carmelo Anthony? He's not a franchise player, and he's getting old. We aren't getting Lebron. There aren't any legit superstaes that we can get out hands on. And even if there were, wouldn't it be nice to pair them with a Wiggins/Parker type player on a rookie deal? Isn't that a lot better than a .500 team and a first round sweep?

Having a mediocre team is the worst situation possible in the NBA. a .500 team is just as irrelevant as a team at the top of the lottery.

Might have to wait a decade before an opportunity like this arises again. There are rarely 3+ franchise players at the top of a draft. Sucking later might land you a number 2 pick in a draft with only 1 superstar at the top.

There is NOTHING noble about fielding a mediocre team while the quickest rode to a championship is acquiring a young superstar through the draft.
