We all need to calm down and think Logicly If Odom were to be traded than kobe would have to go back to being the iniatior. We say how that unfolded last season.

We need to realise that Odom takes a huge load of Kobe. Yes he makes bonehead player but next time phil will know neve to trust odom with the ball.

edit: I seriously hate comming onto LG after a loss. If kobe were to have a bad game then people would be calling kobe selfish. If it's odom, then people would want him to be traded.

Some consistency guys

Takes a huge load off by stealing potential game winners away from Kobe while getting charges and smiling subsequently for his infidelity. Ok.

Unfortunetely, that's true.

Odom played a good game, really. He just messed everything up when it mattered the most. Oh well.

I agree that right now we probably can't replace Odom's ballhandling ability and rebounding.
Kobe's extremely effective when he's on the wing so oh well....we might as well give Odom another chance.

Think of the big picture and then you'll realise what i'm talking about. This is one loss, we have more 43 games games in the season.

Just kidding.

I actually agree that Lamar's completely lame and brainless ending to
tonight's game isn't a drastic push in either direction as to whether or
not we need to trade him.

He shouldn't be our long-term "2nd option," but then I've never thought
that to begin with.

We need a new piece for a "2nd option," at which point having Lamar
still on the team will likely work just fine.

Definately no-thanks from me on Boozer. I think we can do better as far
as adding a third major piece to Kobe and Lamar.

I really don't have a problem with Odom. I think he's brings more good than bad. I also don't think that having a true 2nd scoring option is absolutely necessary. I think having 2 or 3 3rd scoring options that are consistently giving at least 10 points a game is good enough. I mean, look at Phoenix, I don't even think they have a consistent 1st scoring option. Our team is good enough as it is to do damage in the league, as we've seen. Our roster probably can't win a championship, but even if nothing changes, it's not impossible to see us be a surprise champion if everything goes our way. It's just unrealistic.

As we all know, our biggest problem is consistency. And, personally, my biggest problem is that we have to play a near perfect game just to win by 3 or 4 points, no thanks to the refs. Compare that to the Spurs who can screw up all they want without being held responsible because they always seem to be shooting several free throws at the end of games.

Hmmm, I'm gonna go with "the other 80-90% of LGers who already knew
that Odom 'takes a huge load off of Kobe' by being the initiator."

Oh and I'm also gonna guess that the guy bumping his own thread thinks
he was part of that number, but thinks it was something like 1% of LGers.

I had to. The lack of love DG is getting for last nights play is frustrating. HIS rbs. were the difference in that category

It's a no brainer... it was the lack of defense... look what the opponents shot against us in the loses vs wins...

Houston Game - 48 - 40 LAL (LO played) 42% vs 41%
Dallas Game - 35 - 47 Mav (LO played) 38% vs 49%
NOK Game - 40 - 40 tie 41% vs 56%
Charlotte Game - 46 - 39 LAL 43% vs 48%
Indy Game - 43 - 55 Indy (game he was hurt in)-Still played guarded Peja early and late 30% vs 46%
NY Game - 46 Vs 25 LAL (LO played) 57% vs 41%[/quote]
