This team can run fast, jump high, and overwhelm with gusto, not seen since the Magic Johnson period. Is that right?

Kobe should be delighted to work with this bunch!

SHOWTIME RETURNS!

They had some athletic teams in the 90's when they had Nick Van Exel, Eddie Jones, Cedric Ceballos, Elden Campbell, and a very young Kobe Bryant.

Profit wasn't part of that group. Profit played a few months for us in 2005-2006, and then ruptured his Achilles when Phil subbed him in for Kobe in the fourth quarter of the game where Kobe scored 62 on Dallas in three quarters.

Back when we had a younger Kobe, younger Odom, Ariza, Crittenton, and a pre injury Bynum.

Can't remember off the top of my head if we had Shannon Brown yet or not on that roster.

The team sure is entertaining when they're playing well.

Which reminds me of a discusison about that, regarding Sacre. Sacre is highly entertaining when he is on the court. He should get more minutes! It also helps our interior defense a LOT. Win/win for fans and lakers!

Kobe, Lamar, Ariza, Shannon Brown and Farmar were more athletic in 2009.

Kobe, Eddie Jones, Nick Van Exel and Shaq were far more athletic in the late-90s.

Hey Shoes.

2008-09. That team was extremely athletic.

Prime Pau
Prime Kobe
Prime Lamar
Ariza
Farmar
Shannon (by deadline)

That's 6 of your top players.

yeah, but remember Brown was barely a rotation player back then, played like 10 - 15 minutes a game at most, not a main factor.

Lakers (post Showtime) and "athletic" conjures up images of the mid-to-late 90s teams, manned by Nick, Eddie, Elden, Shaq, and the young Kobe Bryant.

Hey guys, good to see you again! I was just marvelling how it seemed that every guy on the squad from top to bottom was just the (bleep) when it came to being the complete athlete that suddenly I'm a bit more interested in watching. Even when they lose it appears they are just a "Kobe Bryant" away from running teams off the court.
This could yet be a very, very, interesting season. Lately I've been all pumped up whenever Mike D calls for Nick Young. Dude is just fun to watch.
I LIKE THIS TEAM!
