No I don't see that happening.
Not athletic enough, too slow, no defense, no shoot (yeah I know, he knocked a few 3-pts... but won't last), don't drive to the rim, don't get fouled.
He can find his place in the NBA with improvement, but becoming a top 5, I just can't see it happening.

Give Marshall a summer and see what he learns by the next season. So far I see raw potential.
But he has the court vision which is the hardest thing (well, impossible really) to teach. Shooting can be learned and D needs a system (read: new coach) and team commitment. The latter can be contagious. _________________ .

He should spend more in the D-League, he should be thankful the Lakers gave him the opportunity to succeed, but there is no way we should invest in him long-term.... he's not one of those guys that you can expect to bring it in the playoffs...... get a 2nd rounder for him and call it a day.
Forgot we even had this guy, whatever happened to him? Decent season with us, shot 40% from deep averaging 8/8 with a really bad team. We should have at least traded him for a future first when we had the chance. Can't believe we haven't had a good season since 2012-2013, if only Kobe never tore that Achilles... _________________

Currently playing in the D-League.
He torn his ACL after leaving the Lakers and never had the opportunity again. All his career-highs are from the time when he played for us.

Thanks to MDA. I think D-League is his level. Was with Philly last year. _________________ Showtime 2.0

I wonder what type of numbers D'angelo would be putting up under Mike D'antoni.
20/10? _________________

I hate to say this but the Lakers' problem is not scoring points it's playing defense. Defense and MDA do not go well in the same sentence.
