Irving is not their problem. Waiters is the problem there. Also Gilbert has done a poor job in surrounding Irving with the PROPER NBA talent. I mean after Shaq was traded, and Kobe was 26, 27 and 28 years old, and IN his prime...what did the Lakers do ? They weren't even a 500 team. Is that ALL on Kobe ? No. Nor is it all on Kyrie either. Trust me, teams would KILL to get Kyrie. And to say that the 6th pick is worth MORE then Irving is just a stupid statement. |
You can never compare Kobe to Kyrie. Kobe works hard to make his game better, Kyrie is the same player now that he was when he came into the league. He doesn't care, I would say there is a good chance our pick will care and try to develop his game and improve. The stupid statement is saying that Kyrie is someone the Lakers need to look at. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

I never said the Lakers need to look at him. I said that you saying that a Unproven 6th pick in the draft is considerably MORE Valuable then Kyrie. And it is. It's especially stupid to suggest that a Unproven rookie can be used to get Lebron James. So please stop, and lets just move on. |

But I didn't say that, I said that whoever traded for Irving would have to give up some young players as well as a lottery pick. I just said I didn't want the Lakers to ever entertain the idea of trading a lottery pick for Irving. I would prefer to have the pick, let Cleveland rot, they deserve that. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

this is now officially the best draft class since 03 in terms of big name prospects.
Parker, Wiggins, Embiid, Exum = 4 sure fire franchise players
Gordon, Smart, Vonleh, Randle = 4 other potential all-stars
now we need to find a way to get into the top 3 and we'll be set. |

I'm relieved Jabari declared. I'd love to have him on our team. The comments he made today regarding his declaration really made him seem like a humble guy and one that you would want on your team, not to mention the talent that he has. As long as we stay in at least the 6th spot, we're guaranteed Wiggins, Embiid, Parker, Exum, Randle, or Smart, so we're in pretty good shape. I'm so excited for May 20th and the draft itself!

Parker in is great news. Not because we can land him - but it means the draft got stronger and a great pick should be there at number 6.
So Embiid/Wiggins/Parker all guaranteed top 3-4. Add Randle in there.
LA is in position to draft Exum, Smart or Vonleh. Any of those picks, are considered strong, strong upgrades to what we have right now at PG/PF or F. Now lets see if we can get lucky and move up. |

Well first off, I don't see how you can say anyone of these guys is a for SURE fire Franchise player. But to put Exum in that class is ridiculous. I mean it's one thing to have Athleticism, which he does. But his skill level is not good. And he has no experience playing against even AVERAGE players. I mean " Wiggins-Parker-Embiid " are not FOR SURE things. But at least they have went up against the best. |

I agree with the sentiment. After really watching the top 7 players a lot in college, I'm not sure there are sure-fire HOFers in that group. Sure, they have the potential to be great players.
However, I do agree this is one of the deepest drafts in recent memory. There will be lots of happy franchises come draft day. _________________ From 2-10 to the Western Conference Finals |

That I DO agree with. There is a lot to like about the skills, Physical size and abilities, and what not about a lot of these prospects. But that still does not guarantee great NBA Success. |

So has the unnecessary panic, but that doesn't stop. I honestly believe there is a good number of posters who think we are drafting 6th. _________________ RIP mom. 11-21-1933 to 6-14-2023. |

Yes.
We have a chance of jumping into the top 3, but we also have a chance of falling up to the 3 spots to #9. There's a chance we get #6. That's reality. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts! |
