Here's a pretty good article on the Spurs shooting coach Chip Engelland, aka "The Shot Doctor." Don't know if this is OT, but I thought it was relevant given all the usual draft discussion on shooting mechanics and whether they can be fixed. This guy has fixed Parker's, Leonard's, Gary Neal's and now Bellinelli's shot. It doesn't mention Danny Green, but he shot 27% on 3s in Cleveland, and has been one of the best shooters in the league since joining the Spurs.

He dated Jeanie, he can coach. Do it Mitch/Jimbo!

Hmm, now who is it here that has been mentioning him as a possible coach for the Lakers?

Julius Randle will be a better version of David Lee in the NBA. All you guys talking about him wingspan being half an inch less than some other guys are ridiculous.

I'd be happy with Randle. Still praying for a top 3 pick though.

Had no idea that vonleh was in the middle of a growth spurt. That combined with the 20 extra pounds could explain the decreased athleticism. I'd bet his athleticism will look much better when he gets used to his body.

I'm kind of in the midst of a dilemma, if Randle and Vonleh are the two best players left available, who do you guys take? I didn't see enough of Vonleh this season TBH.

I think everybody is falling asleep on Mitch. He is still the best GM in the game. I am sure he has varying plans depending on our draft position. I am sure he also has a parachute (in regards to a trade for picks/players in case the players he wants are off the board). I am not going to sweat it. In Mitch I trust. I am sweating JB and the moves after the draft. I hope he does not force Mitch to make stupid moves (blow our cap room just to be a .500 team like the Knicks). We have to be patient. This is going to take a few years as there is no quick fix and having cap money does not mean as much as it did in years past.

I hope we grab Bryce Cotton from Prov. College, who may very well go undrafted. The kid is going to be a solid NBA player!! His size for a pg at 6'1/165 is his only weakness. He is a great scorer, can penetrate, pass, plays D, and is a great kid and teamate. He is better than our pg's we have right now (I know, that is not saying much). Grab him Mitch.

I could have sworn I read the same thing. Don't know why his name is being mentioned.

Slow Mo, with better height/length than most SFs and some PFs, including Randle and Aaron Gordon.

Randle will contribute more early. Vonleh might have more potential...we know who Kobe would prefer...but who knows what the FO would want.

With that being said, I am not as high on Randle as most...but he has some potential as well...just not as much as Vonleh.

I would be more than happy to wager with you that Randle & Gordon will have better careers than Anderson.

Unless there is some magic elixir to teach Anderson how to speed up his game, he will not translate into the NBA. I'll say it, reminds me of a 6'9" Kendall Marshall.

Boris Diaw.

Everyone keeps saying that. I don't completely agree with it.

Diaw was thinner, more athletic, but didn't have anywhere near that shooting ability or passing ability by age.

He needed the Phoenix system to even get close assist wise.

What if Randle, becomes the next Chris Webber? this is why I'm shocked he isn't being talked about so much.

Ummm, and what if he doesn't and becomes the next Thomas Robinson?

Do you understand how stupid that comment is?

I think he is dead on. I think Randle might be the 6'9" version of Shaq and Wilt combined!

from what I see there are only 4 potential superstars coming out in this draft. Embiid, Wiggens, Parker, Exum. Everyone else like Randle, Smart for example will be solid players but not elite franchise changing quality players. So with that said, if we don't have a top 4 pick that will ensure us getting on of those 4 I would strongly consider trading the pick .

So we trade a potential non-superstar for a known non-superstar?

Mitch Mcgary declares...after he is informed he would be suspended for the entire season for a failed drug test. Interesting. Mcgary was a top-5 High School talent. A Monster energy player who loves physical play. Now with this Incident, and his Back surgery, Mcgary won't go high. But, a lot of potential talent for a later team like the Spurs, or OKC or the Suns to pass on ? Who knows. But, as a 2nd rounder, I think Mcgary could be a huge steal for a team.
