I was at the game until i couldn't deal anymore. Pau got fouled a lot - usually without getting the call. But they clearly targeted him to take him out of his game as he is our last tenuous thread to being an NBA team lol (but not really lol)

This is true. Opponents now focus on Pau and force someone else to make their shots.

I agree Pau was mugged without calls in the 1st Q....but Pau fumbled the ball and made horrible passes all game on his own. Kaman too.

Answer? Don't be ridiculous. He is still far better than Sacre, that is the point. Play your best players, even if they still suck.

The point is that its not a big deal if they all suck.

When deciding between different shadesof crap, might as well go with the young guy. Maybe he develops or maybe you can inflate his trade value. If you are going to lose anyway, why play a washed up guy?

Thing is, Kaman IS better than Sacre, and Kelly shouldn't be playing.

You think we're developing ANYONE playing like this? Sacre will always be a bum. The only way Kelly will ever develop is if he hits the weight room.

You are probably right. But who cares. They are all bad, and they will lose. In this situation, I don't mind taking a chance on the young guys

We're probably doing more harm than good at this point. That's why MDA should go.

I don't know what you mean by that? Harm to Sacre and Kelly?

Can't believe I am still getting League Pass for free. Saved $199. What a waste that would have been.

Because human beings do that and it happens. But a ) they don't *always* do that and b ) they deliberately went after Pau to take him out of his game. Most of Kaman's were just mental mistakes (there were a couple where I felt he got hacked too, tho)

I mean get on Swaggy while you're at it b/c his game was off the richter bad tonight.

LOL to those who think kobe aint what he worth. I have never seen a kobe bryant team blown out ever!!! Atleast it was more pleasant to watch. All you fakers got what you wished for!

Sorry to say it, but when I watch a game like this I get even more upset that Kobe basically is going to handcuff them for two more years with his contract. If he truly is about winning, he would know that this team cannot win a chip and it is going to take A LOT of help.

I don't want to hear about the injuries - the guys that are hurt are average players - not players on a consistent winner. You need players and Kobe signing that contract is going to prevent a lot of flexibility.

Kobe isn't going to handcuff anything. Jim Buss has already done that. Do you trust this guy to make moves at this point?

If Kobe was serious about winning, you don't sign a 24 mil contract. But I also agree that Jim should not have offered it - Kobe hadn't even taken the floor yet. Stupidity on the owner side, and selfishness and Kobe's side.

The San Antonio boys get it and they keep on competing year after year. Kobe- I love you to death, but did you really need 24? Now he is going to have to go through two years of frustrating mediocrity. If you don't think so, take a look at the young talent around the West. Not going to get easier any time in Kobe's short time left.

Doesn't matter. What moves is Jim going to make to right this ship? Hire another crappy coach? Trade away more players without getting anything back?

Kobe is the least of our worries. It's 2 years. He'll retire, we'll still be stuck with Jim Buss.

You are not understanding the certainty that Kobe's contract bestowed on their future. I don't hear too many people complain when we thought we landed Paul and then Nash and then Howard. Everyone thought those were great deals so I don't want to hear that the current group cannot make moves. Problem is, when everyone's contract is ending your assets are limited and you are stuck to sign free agents, and we all know it takes cap space. Don't you agree that we could have signed a really good player for $10m? And a close to max player. But now, they are going to feel the pressure to sign one BIG name and they will be stuck to min contracts for the rest of the roster.

You say it is just two years - but it so happens that the next couple of years are great free agent classes.

This is embarrassing. No doubt. Just not sure how much better we could be with this talent.

Gotta take our lumps this year. Clips can enjoy January glory, but we need to get talent and win a ring

Better than losing by 40 to a Clips team without their best player.
