Not everyone in the South is impressed with the PAC-12:
Quote: | Jockston from SEC country writes: UCLA is good on offense, but it can't play defense, so it can't win a championship because defense wins championships. When does Pac-12 figure this out? |

Lots of upsets this weekend: Oregon, Alabama, Texas A&M and Oklahoma all lost
What a thriller ND/Stanford was....
Luck and Co aren't going to like the ending to that one
But I do... |

Oregon was missing 4 guys on the o-line. That's why WSU had 7 sacks against them and only lost by 7 (and also got screwed by the refs at the end), and why Arizona did so well. UCLA has a better chance to beat them than I thought. |

I thought you couldn't play worse pass defense vs a Hail Mary when USC got one before the half recently. I stand corrected. AZ St. pulled out a crazy last drive lol. |

USC should be able to beat them. If not, they have some real mental weaknesses. |
USC will be favored in the next 8 games and should be 10-0 going into their November match-ups against UCLA (at Rose Bowl) and Notre Dame (at Coliseum). |

Hundley sacked 10 times already with 6 minutes still left to play. Pathetic. _________________ "Dread it, run from it... destiny arrives all the same." |

Both local college football teams have a lot of issues. Whoever corrects them first before the crosstown showdown will win it. Right now I don't know who is showing improvement. Both teams just flat choked tonight. LA teams had a bad weekend with so many choke jobs. Right now the only LA team that anyone can say is on the top of their game is the LA Kings... and their season hasn't even started yet! |

So 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 lose this weekend doesthat make the top 4 FSU, Auburn, Baylor, and ND? |

UCLA is clearly better. They are similar to what they were last year. USC looks worse than they looked a year ago. The coaching change has moved the program a step back so far. I wouldn't be surprised to see 5 losses from USC.
UCLA has always struggled with physical teams (similar to Oregon). Last night was nothing new. It was also a typical letdown game a week before a big matchup.

The only PAC-12 team with a top 10 ranking is Arizona at #10. UCLA took a big hit and is #18 and USC is unranked. |

Blame to go all around for the sacks. Hundley holds the ball way too long. The OL is a patchwork thanks to injuries and dismissals. OC Mazzone isn't dialing up bootlegs to give Hundley time and space or calling short passing plays other than swing passes. This is Hundley's weakness and normally Hundley masks it by taking off, but his recent injury has made him gun-shy. _________________ http://media.giphy.com/media/zNyBPu5hEFpu/giphy.gif

Phyllis from Alabama has been the highlight of College football this season. That's all. |

UCLA down 21-3 to Oregon. This is the best I've seen Oregon look since they played Michigan State. |

That may not last much longer. USC is playing pretty gutty after last week's gut wrenching loss. |

^I'm thinking that Arizona is just not that good. They haven't looked impressive in most of their games. |

I think a one loss team can still make it to the playoffs though. I am surprised Oregon is ranked so low for a one loss team. |
