I'll take any combination that involves their first-round pick.

Pau and Young to the Clippers for Jordan, Crawford and the Clippers #1.

Oh no you don't VLF! I want nothing that could possibly make the Clippers better.

They're in the top 3 of teams I can't stand

Okafor and a 2014 first or Okafor/Goodwin/2015 first gets it done IMO.

Okafor is out indefinitely so swapping Pau for him and a first could be a double win in the eyes of many. Get another pick and lose even more games.

Doubt Clips give up Jordan. But if they were willing, would be a great trade for the Lakers.

Any first rd pick for Pau is a good pick at this point.

If that's our only recourse then sure. Definitely not a first option to look at IMO

Posted this somewhere else too, but...

If LA could get Okafor plus a 2015 first, then maybe forward Okafor plus Meeks for Ben Gordon and the 2014 Portland first, they would get under the tax and have three 1st rd picks in two years.

Okafor either helps the team that drafted him make the playoffs or gets them imsurance $.

For me a GOOD PROJECT starts with a GOOD COACH...

I dont know WHY LA signed D'Antoni to a three-year contract. I dont understand... This is the same fail as Steve Nash contract... Why they have to do it...

D´ANTONI WAS FIRED FROM NEW YORK AND HE ONLY HAS AN IDEA OF BASKETBALL THAT HE CANT GET WITH THIS ROSTER... and nowadays maybe with no team that wants to win a championship... YOU NEED TO DEFEND!!

For me the solution is: LIONEL HOLLINS

And i dont know why but i feel very sure about it...

Maybe LA can sign any defense player too.. Sefolosha or any other...

With this coach LA is going to PLAY AS A TEAM and to have a better DEFENSE SYSTEM.

He is a great motivational man who is able to manage perfectly this roster.

THAT WOULD BE THE BEGINING

Update:

Quote:
Suns/Sixer. Hawes or Young for others + pick. Might not even involve Okafor. Hearing 3rd team possibly could be involve. My guess is Celts.

McDonough and Ainge have a long relationship. Makes sense. We are stuck with Pau. Dude has no trade value right now.

Are Lakers trying to get it on it?

Please stop spamming the board with your posts. You have 7 posts total and 3 of them are this one copied and pasted in multiple threads, and 2 or 3 others are a ridiculously impossible roster demand post you did the same with.

The Lakers Front Office is fairly insular compared to most Front Offices around the league.

Other than West with the Warriors and Riley with the Heat, I can't think of any other High Level Executive types that trace back to the the Lakers.

Since the Warriors are in the same Division as the Lakers, expect them to do nothing beneficial for the Lakers.

Riley has been gone for several decades, so probably no favors from Miami either.

Suns are trying to go for it a combination of Len contracts and picks we would have to drop a lot of people but I believe it would get us under the tax clears cap takes nothing away from the suns and lets nash retire a Sun it would be great if he comes back Tuesday healthy and contributes well till the deadline .

Hey fellas!

Some of you know here know I have a pretty well connected source from my early days in NBAWire circa 2001-2005 formerly named Caron1. Alums of the NBAWire that are here like Just-Ming or Number-8 can vouch for my source.

Suns like Noah from the Bulls. They're also interested in Pau Gasol. The Suns can offer one of their 1st round picsk which both Lakers and Bulls want.

Okafor's expiring. (works)

Lakers don't seem to be in a hurry but the Suns are. Either way the Suns will try to make a trade by the deadline.

And there you have it.

Len isn't moving, forget about that. Most likely it's Okafor straight up, but maybe Mitch pulls a crazy wand trick and also lands us a 1st round pick.
