Some of you know here know I have a pretty well connected source from my early days in NBAWire circa 2001-2005 formerly named Caron1. Alums of the NBAWire that are here like Just-Ming or Number-8 can vouch for my source.
Quote: | Suns like Noah from the Bulls. They're also interested in Pau Gasol. The Suns can offer one of their 1st round picsk which both Lakers and Bulls want. |
Quote: | Okafor's expiring. (works) |
Quote: | Lakers don't seem to be in a hurry but the Suns are. Either way the Suns will try to make a trade by the deadline. |
And there you have it.

Wow, you nailed it (maybe)! |
Interesting is that Noah and Pau are very different players...both great in their own ways. _________________ Back to Back Yeah, Yeah...and you know that!

I'll be happy if they trade Gasol for Okafor + 2014 First Round Pick. Anything on top of this is icing on the cake. |

Don't see Suns dumping Len. Suns are loaded but want Gasol's playoff experience to help the young guys - Morris twins, Plumlee, Len etc
Gasol for Okafor and the 1st round pick (Wiz or Suns) would be a dream.
Lakers need to target a guy like Doug McDermott _________________ #11/08/16 America became GREAT again

Reading between the tea leaves it looks like the 23rd overall pick is not out of reach. Perhaps Okafor's contract can be used to trade for an even higher pick.
One idea would be to trade Kaman to get under the luxury tax, then trade Okafor to a team that wants to save luxury tax money to switch picks. Also Okafor can be traded for Carlos Boozer and then perhaps Chicago's 15th overall.
With the 15 and 23rd you would have essentially created enough trade ammo to get into the late lottery. |

Sound like this trade is cooled off, i am sure if they chicago wanted to trade Noah the trade would be done. As for Gasol, the Lakers want what they want so if Suns can't handle the heat, move on. I can be happy with resigning Gasol in the summer. We suck either way |
