appreciate the effort. but another morale victory? not needed.

We lost, there are no moral victories but i will never celebrate a loss. On draft night the ball will fall were ever it will fall. me wishing and hoping to lose or win will not make an iota of difference. It's okay to disagree; I'm not trying to convince you so please don't try to convince me.

GO LAKERS!

Pau Gasol finished with 20 points, 19 rebounds, 5 blocks and 3 steals. Young had a season-high 31 points off the bench.

Shocking...he didn't mention Gasol's 2 turnovers in the OT?
guess he knew that would be talked about enough to not have to include it.

Tough loss tonight. The guys battled to the end. Pretty impressive considering it was the 2nd game of a back to back and OT.

LOL!

Wes wasn't shooting well so we put in Harris for defense.

That's why it hurts so much. Pau, Hill, Nick, Meeks, Kelly and the whole crew just giving it everything. Playing with heart and soul. And then, to lose like this. Man. This stings.

I'm a Pau fan but...he really blew it in the end (3 times on Offense and that lapse on the in-bounds at the end).

- Fatigue?

Who is to say Wesley would have done any better on that play? Imagination isn't always reliable.

Noah's a good defender. One of the best in the league. Give some credit there. He's one of the few that has height to match Pau and the speed.

I admit I am a supporter of the tank, but this loss stings. So close, then one dumb mistake by Pau.

Neither is D'Antoni's late game adjustments.

I agree. that stuff is pathetic. Obviously tanking could be very good for us once draft time rolls around, but celebrating is ridiculous. As I fan I just can't relate to that. I was FURIOUS at that buzzer beating layup, (bleep) a tank

Not saying it would have made a huge difference, but the logic behind putting in a smaller player that has played 3 games with the Lakers, and probably been at a few practices rather someone 6'9 just as athletic and has played well defensively for us is a bit baffling.

I'm not sure I want to give Noah credit for all 3; on 2 of those 3 possessions looks like Pau just fumbled the ball away,

I get what you're saying. I can just also see everyone criticizing a decision to bring Wesley in after he had been playing bad in the few minutes he played and looked visibly discouraged. That play should have been defended better and the guys on the court were all perfectly able to stop it, they just didnt.

Yeah that big-celebration-that-we-lost crap keeps me away from a lot of game threads lately. I'd like to see a great draft choice and I do care about the Lakers in the long run, but I care about effort and success of the guys currently in a Laker uniform as well.

I'll take a loss as having a silver lining, but I understand that random bounces of a ping pong ball and random results of promising rookies in the NBA are a big enough question marks that this idea we get a top draft choice and we're automatically title contenders is just ridiculous. Not worth tossing out a big celebration on an LG game thread if the Lakers lose. Not worth actively rooting against the Lakers we have now. That's just weak.
