Starting to see this also. Hope Embiid pans out.

2nd pick or later I would trade for Kyrie. Not for Love though since he can be had next summer.

Irving hasn't shown me enough. He's a flashy and talented player, but he hasn't won anything (and yes, his team is less than ideal, but he plays in the Eastern Conf).

Hell no.

There's plenty of comparable PGs you can get without giving up a draft pick....a #1 at that? The Lakers would be stupid to do something that dumb.

I would swap picks plus get Kyrie and their future 2015 and 2017 unprotected 1st round picks.

FU Gilbert!

I'd rather have Exum on a cheap K for multiple years personally. Maybe that's just me.

No.

Health is questionable.

He's a ball dominant, scoring PG. His ability as a play-making PG appears limited.

Irving's injury history scares me. he's never played a full season since he came to the league.

i agree with you on the health issue, i won't make that trade either. but scoring PG is the name of the game in today's NBA. Curry, Westbrook, Bledsoe, Parker. the only pure pass first PGs are CP3 and Rondo

Didn't even play a full season in college.

I changed my mind. I wouldn't trade with that Turd Gilbert. I'd keep our pick.

He doesn't have to be pure pass-first, just capable of reading the floor and making the smart pass. He doesn't have that yet, and with each passing season it looks doubtful he'll develop it. That mindset would make his teammates better and save his wheels.

That's also way Pau was the better fit then Deng. Deng is the better player of the two at this point, but Pau would have given them much needed low-post scoring and facilitation.

Absolutely not. Besides the question of injury and the possibility that the no.1 pick is a better talent, Irving will be due a big raise after next season. A draft pick will allow more cap flexibility to sign a max player.

If Cleveland does this no doubt we'd be big winners.

1) We can't trade our 2014 pick. League rules.

2) Assuming we could...

Not if it's Joel Embiid.

The rest of them...I might do it.

We can trade it after we make the pick.

If we don't get Embiid, Smart, Exum or Wiggins, then yes.

Would take Wiggins, Embid, exum, and maybe even smart and parjer over kyrie. Too injury prone.
