Why Philly does it: Their experiment with Young + Turner + Hawes has failed and they have enough new talent to start over, with two picks in the top 15 they are sure to get talent just as good as those three. They're already in TANK mode, so having Pau only concludes that concept. Mohammed would just be a roll of the dice to stay entertaining for the rest of the year.

Why Minny does it: They will lose Love anyway, so this way they get equally young talent, who still has room to develop. They also garner some leverage with Young and Turner enough to move one for a better player at a different position. Hawes would be an adequate big for them who could fill some of the void that Love would leave. They would actually become a more deeper team.

Why LAL does it: It's obvious, they get their future Superstar in Love to lead the team for years to come, adding Moute is a bonus on the defensive end of the floor, this puts us in a good position to make a solid run at another max player.

This should happen before the deadline, it would really put all teams in a good position for their futures not just now. Players and teams should be happy, Pau can go to a team of his liking after the year, total win win for everyone!

The Lakers don't wind up with another draft pick, but who would care as we would receive a coveted player in Love. Whoever we pick in the top 5 would be an extra bonus considering we'd already received our number one pick.

Pair him with another Max Player if possible for the year and we're good to go for next season.

I say Nash retires + Kaman and Blake coupled together in a smaller trade for future considerations should be a productive year for the Lakers.
