Hmmm... I thought winning leads to championships....

this year dude, don't be a smart ass.

Oh, but I will.

Because there can not be this year mentality. You are either a winner or a loser. And you can not be one this year and then suddenly change next year.

2003 was also a GREAT draft class:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_NBA_draft

How many of those teams picking in the top 10 won a Championship?

I'll spoil it for you. Just 1. The Heat and they did so through Free Agency (Shaq & LeBron/Bosh)

So while a good pick is a great asset, I will NEVER root for the Lakers to lose.

None of those teams are the Lakers.

Playoffs are gone for us. All we have now is the draft. Until otherwise.

Exactly. Laker are always one and done with the lottery. There is no losing mentality here. We are in this position becuse of one of the worst injury riddled seasons in nba history, unlike all other tAnkers who just suck.

Because the draft is not the end all be all to fix the Lakers woes. The teams are put in a lottery so one win against the Thunder isn't going to derail them and maybe some of us like to see our team win once in a while dumb dumb
Lay off the namecalling

Whatever makes you happy.

And then there was Kaman saying in his post game interview, these Lakers don't know what it takes to win games.

Winning is a habit. Better start practicing it.

This year we're losers because we have a loser coach. And until the loser coach is replaced we will continue to be losers.

As much as I'm not a fan of MDA I really do think he's doing the best he can with a team of D-League & bench guys, and dealing with "injury du jour". This season is nothing short of completely ridiculous.

Not doing best he can. He didn't play Kaman for about 10 straight games, and was starting Sacre over him and Hill. Inexusable. Last year he benched Antawn Jamison and didn't play him until we once again had injury probs.
