Sacre and upside in the same sentence should be banned.

Well at this point in Hill's career he has pretty much zero upside. So, comparatively speaking, Sacre probably has a higher upside than zero. Maybe like, one or two on a scale of one hundred?

He is very inconsistent in his choices.
Hill will play 5 games, including 3 as a starter, while Kaman plays 0 minute. And suddenly, Hill is benched 4 games and Kaman becomes the #1 option offensively and plays 30 minutes.
And it's like that since the beginning of the season with quite a few players.

King Sacre needs to grow his hair back. Looks much more sexy that way.

You guys act like Sacre throwing Lopez's shoe off the court didn't bring back shades of Metta ... er I mean Ron Artest! We need a brute on our team. Maybe Sacre can learn to be one. Heh.

Bring on the brute squad!
You are the brute squad.

I like Jordan Hill, but we generally play worse as a unit when he's on the court. Whether it's his fault or not is immaterial...you gotta find groups of 5 that work well together.

Really? Do I need to cite Hill's injury history? You seem rather clueless about the direction the Lakers will be going. To start with, Kelly is a better defender than Hill. And a better offensive option. Hill is definitely the better rebounder. But Hill hasn't put together a relatively healthy season in the NBA. I would say the chances are good that Kelly will be here next season and that Hill won't.

True, but as a rookie, and a decent one at his draft spot (or even many slots higher), Kelly has a potential future here, and Hill does not. Neither does Kaman. So they sit and the team evaluates and develops guys they actually have potential plans for beyond the season.

No, but he provides the spacing we like.
And his defense isn't that much worse than Hill's.
So you take a little less offensive rebounds for the spacing.

Hill's good. In the Phil Jackson-era, the guy would have been immensely valuable, I bet. But on a D'Antoni team that preaches smallball, he's supposedly not "refined" enough, which is codespeak for the fact that he lacks the range D'Antoni likes in his bigs.

If that's spacing, not exactly a strength right now. His offense has been a non factor, especially the deep ball as of late.

Hill versus Kelly just depends on what you value more. Hill is way better rebounder and defender against big men but does not shoot as well. Kelly shoots better (and pump fakes better!) but does not rebound as well and gets manhandled by offensive big men.

In my view, we have plenty of other shooters but we get killed on the boards (especially offensive rebounds). I would rather see Hill over Kelly for that reason.

Better at what? Being more physical? Man to man? Moving his feet? Don't see it. But the Kelly lovefest is in full blast.
