Let's hope it doesn't end as cheezily as the last interstellar movie with Matthew McConaughey. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant
kinda sucks that matthew mcconaughey is in it though
Maybe when he gets through the wormhole he'll meet an alien civilization that will help him save Earth... as long as he can beat them in a surfing contest.

The mention of wormhole piques my interest. It leaves so much to the imagination. What's on the other side? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

That's just having a bad audio engineer. There is something called a De-esser that removes that. Laughable for such a big budget film (or so I'd imagine.
Still very much looking forward to this.
Not laughable anymore. I have a close family member who used to be an audio engineer in Hollywood...they were fired along with most engineers in favor of 20 year olds with macbook pros paid $15 an hour.

Lotta Oscar nominations and wins in this crowd. Nolan can do no wrong as a director (just wish he'd boot Michael Bay-wannabe Snyder to the curb on the Superman saga).
How often does sci-fi win best actor/actress, supporting actors?

Paul Thomas Anderson on Nolan and Interstellar.
Quote:
“Christopher Nolan is at the front lines of all of this, I have to say,” Anderson said about the struggle to keep celluloid viable for filmmakers. “He’s made a beautiful film, if anybody gets out to see ‘Interstellar’ when it comes out.” Jones then quipped sarcastically that he thinks people just may just go check out the movie, which lead to a lot of uproarious laughter. “I’m just trying to put in the good word, he’s a decent filmmaker; you probably haven’t heard about this one.” Anderson joked. “Support this filmmaker.”
“But don’t f*** around, go see it in IMAX,” PTA said turning serious. “Brave the line. Do it, bite the bullet,” he stressed.
Caught the 70mm iMax last night, another great flick by Nolan. Thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the mind f*ck. Hans Zimmer did a great job with the score too, go watch it.
And its rotten tomatoes score is a lukewarm 75%. I'm still going to see it in theaters and make up my own mind, but my expectations are not super high.
I really enjoyed it. Not my favorite Nolan film but still on par with the rest of them. MM was great as was Chastain and the little girl who played young Murphy did a really good job.
It may have been a long movie at nearly 3 hours but I feel the way the story was kind of broken up into 3 parts helped with the pacing.
Semi-spoiler:
It really was a good representation of just how flawed man can be and how we can pretty much justify anything to make ourselves feel good about a bad decision or we can just chalk it up to "survival instinct" in order to escape any blame. Matt Damon is so good at playing that weasley character that you just hate, isn't he?
Another great epic movie from Nolan. Saw it last night in IMAX and it lived up to the hype for me. I would say it's in the top 3 movies I've seen so far this year up there with Gone Girl and Nightcrawler.
Worrying about the reviews is stupid because Gravity got a 97% yet imo Interstellar was a far superior movie in all aspects.
I'm probably in the severe minority, but i was let down by gravity. not sure what i was expecting going into the movie, but i left disappointed. _________________ Dominating every day.
