In the last 5 games, MDA has played little else but small-ball lineups.
The pace appears to be quicker, and the Opponent FGAs are increasing (last two games at 101 per game).
Interesting to see how MDA will approach OKC. Who is going to guard Durant, Johnson or Bazemore? Maybe Johnson, and Bazemore will have to take Adams, their center.
Thanks DB. |

Good point, and their defense against Portland was solid.
However, we will see how MDA handles OKC, which will be a defining moment in his recent commitment to small ball. _________________ We want Soon now....we want Soon now....we want Soon now! |

Coach Mike's dedication to small ball had him trotting Kobe Bryant out there to play point guard. It's a shame his knee is injured, because we will never see what he could do with a healthy team this year. |

Either Pau was tired or he just doesn't care anymore. He's become the worst version of Kobe, zero interest in defense, all offense. I'm leaning waaaaaay towards the doesn't care anymore camp. He just doesn't bother to move on that end anymore.
Team d is horrible. We have no discernible scheme I can see, and virtually none of our guys give two (bleep) about that end of the floor anymore. Kelly and Baze are two of the only guys who showed up on that end last night. |

He has played gutless and with zero heart for at least two years now. That doesn't take away what he did before that of course, but it is long past time to part ways.
$19 million? He isn't worth $5 million in my opinion, he needs to go. Look for his effort and defense to improve dramatically at his next stop which makes the last two years even more glaring. |
Pau is in that "I got to get my next contract" mode right now. He is not playing any defense but complain about the team not playing. He is in the mode of putting up points so teams can see that he still can be an offensive force so he can keep his money around $19 million a year for his next contract. It's not going to work. |
