Quote: | Eric Decker’s wife makes Twitter war worse, then retreats
We noted yesterday that new Jets wide receiver invited the wrath of Jets fans on Twitter when he made the mistake of asking for some honest feedback.
Now, his wife has gone and made it worse.
Via Seth Walder of the New York Daily News, country music singer Jessie James Decker took a poke at the Jets fans who mocked Decker, probably not helping things.
“You think he really cares what y’all think haters? He’s laughing his ass alllll the way home…. Life is pretty good here. Can’t complain,” she wrote on Twitter.
Of course, her bio claimed “I pee in the shower,” so delicate public relations skill isn’t her forte either. She’s since deleted her Twitter account.
To his credit, the Jets wideout said “you’ve got to expect that,” regarding the blowback to his initial attempt, and tried to play nice.
“I don’t think it’s against the law to try to unite or reach out to fans,” he said. “People obviously enjoy winning a lot more than losing, I get that. For me, that’s the biggest thing, making fans feel like they are important, because they are.
“Obviously I wish things could be different. I didn’t expect everything to be all happy and gung-ho; I knew I was going to get some sarcastic remarks.”
So at least he handled them better than his wife did. |

When I read brainless morons write the word "haters" to anything against them, it makes me want rip my ears off so the pain of that can make me deaf. |

Quote: | FOXBOROUGH, Mass. — The Broncos will have to play without their starting middle linebacker for awhile.
Nate Irving suffered a serious right knee injury in the second half of the Broncos' loss to New England. He will have a magnetic resonance imaging test on Monday back in Denver, but there is fear Irving suffered some form of ligament damage.
"I don't remember how it happened," Irving said as he hobbled out of the Gillette Stadium visitor's locker room on crutches. "Not a good break. Not a good day."
Irving's knee was in such severe pain that several members of the Broncos' medical team had to help him get dressed. |

Raiders halfway to 0-16. Let's hope this garbage never comes back to LA. |

I think its fair to say the raiders are in the 1st or second year of their expansion redo. They had to cut all overpaid players (which is pretty much the whole roster) from the Al Davis era starting in 2012 and finally finished with the cap hits starting this year.
Their best players are rookies in Mack and Carr. Mack is probably their best player since 2003 and is already considered one of the best Linebackers in the NFL. Gotta start somewhere.
They are in the Lakers like rebuild mode where they have cap room every year and pretty much cap friendly contracts. They had 70 million in cap room this year and will have 70-80 next year. This is a 3-4 year rebuilding project. however going 0-16 (0-24 over 2 years) will get the GM fired.
hopefully the Lakers win a game soon because i havent experienced a win in some time

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/11/05/texans-bench-ryan-fitzpatrick-turn-to-ryan-mallett/
Quote: | Texans bench Ryan Fitzpatrick, turn to Ryan Mallett
The Texans have made a change at quarterback.
Ryan Mallett is the new starter in Houston, coach Bill O’Brien announced today. Ryan Fitzpatrick, the veteran who has had a mediocre start to the season, moves to the bench.
“I just felt like in the best interest of the team, this is the decision I needed to make,” O’Brien said.
The move has been talked about for weeks and comes as no surprise, as O’Brien has long been a fan of Mallett’s. The two of them worked together in New England, when O’Brien was the Patriots’ offensive coordinator. The Texans sent a sixth-round draft pick to New England to acquire Mallett in August, and now the Texans will find out what they got for their pick.
Houston is on its bye this week. Mallett will get the first start of his NFL career next Sunday in Cleveland. |

This reminds me of the story of Pete Metzelaars when he lost his Colts SB ring as part of our coaching staff. These robbers are dumb....
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/11/08/mike-vrabel-says-his-three-patriots-super-bowl-rings-stolen/
Quote: | Mike Vrabel says his three Patriots Super Bowl rings stolen
Given the fact that Super Bowl rings are prized possessions — and personalized — when they hit the market there’s usually a story behind them.
In the case of Texans linebackers coach Mike Vrabel, that story appears to be breaking and entering.
The former Patriots linebacker tweeted out word that his three Super Bowl rings were stolen from his Houston home.
“To all the Houston area pawn shops: 3 super bowl rings are headed your way,” he wrote. “Courtesy of the mother f—–s who smashed our back door in.”
Hopefully the rings are located, and the burglars apprehended. Which is the case with all stolen property and all burglars, but a Mike Vrabel ring is certainly harder to conceal than a set of golf clubs or power tools. |

The most random NFL news of the day....
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/11/08/steelers-get-an-unexpected-guest-at-bible-study/
Quote: | Steelers get an unexpected guest at Bible study
Move over, Snoop Dogg.
The Steelers have another famous fan. A fan so dedicated that he showed up at the team’s Bible study at their hotel in the New York/New Jersey area.
Via The Big Lead, Justin Bieber showed up. And he posed for pictures with various players.
Bieber has had several indirect connections to the NFL. He has alienated neighbors Keyshawn Johnson and Eric Dickerson by driving too fast in the L.A. neighborhood they share. Bieber has partied with Johnny Manziel. Also, Bieber allegedly/reported/whatever created some sort of an incident on a charter flight to the Super Bowl.
And, as the photo indicates, Bieber got better seats that Browns owner Jimmy Haslam at LeBron James’ first game back in Cleveland.
If the Steelers win on Sunday, maybe Bieber will become the team’s new good luck charm. Until he starts lobbying for offensive coordinator Todd Haley to be fired. |

Kaepernick struggled a bit down the stretch but he had that huge bomb to Crabtree. It didn't help that the 49er receivers were terrible today.
This win goes to the 49er defense for holding tough in overtime. They kept the season alive. I'm pumped! _________________ Good Laker book I recommend, "The Biggest What-If's in Lakers History" http://www.amazon.com/Biggest-What-Ifs-Angeles-History-ebook/dp/B00BB3OEC0 |

Palmer out, injured left knee.
I read an article a few weeks ago about the Cincy injury, he really wrecked that knee, hopefully it's not bad or it might be a career ender. |

Explains the lose to the Jets then _________________ Phil Jackson (June 17th, 2009):"What was our model of this team? The Ring, the ring, that was the model.
