If I were Popovich I too would be pissed that my margin of victory was so low.

It seems like SilverBullet sets the standard for game threads around here. Since I been lurking for some times, i notice so many game threads look similar to his old ones.

The format is kind of limited as to what you can do/add. I'm sure there is a way to add more graphics but i don't know how.

Diando knows how to add a few more bells & whistles but he wont post again until pre-season.

Until then; GO LAKERS!

Spurs update (Sunday) vs Utah

FYI:
Quote:
The Spurs extended their NBA record of consecutive 50-win seasons to 15. The closest any other team has come to that is the Lakers, who did it 12 straight seasons from 2000-2011. The Spurs are the first team to 50 this season.

I don't know how the Spurs do it. TD is older than Kobe, Manu is about Pau's age, and Tony is also in his 30s. TBH the Lakers and Spurs both have older players, how is it that the Spurs manage their player's health better and actually find a way to stay elite in this league? The Lakers couldn't do it with 3 hall of famers!!! SMH!!!! That's waht you get for hiring a coach who wants to make 30-something year older farts like "Bolt"

LAKERS UPDATE: MITCH K

Quote:
In reality, next season’s team could look very much like this one with a number of players who are on one-year deals in order to retain the optimum amount of cap space for the summer of 2015

Jerry West reflections:
Quote:
West has always looked at Bryant in endearing terms, remembering how a pre-draft workout at 17 years old convinced the former Lakers executive to trade Vlade Divac to Charlotte to secure the rights to draft Bryant nearly 18 years ago. West also has proclaimed Bryant as the greatest Laker. He pinned Bryant’s injury plagued season as a huge variable explaining the Lakers’ current struggles.

Mitch, is just speaking in current terms... if a player like LeBron becomes available the Lakers would gladly spend all there dime on him.... also you don't know who could be on the trade market that can make a difference.

Not sure I'd use "power" and Lakers in the same sentence.

pio2u Thanks for the game thread. Mine was so lame I almost didn't post in it.

Gonna be hard to beat "Dem Ol Geezers." It alway causes me to chuckle when fans count the Spurs out because of their age and they ALWAYS end up in the hunt.

I saw him play in MSG, Memphis vs UCLA, Jordan Farmar played in the game.

Williams was drafted 17th a 1st round choice. I didn't think he was that good judging from how he played in that game.

I hope he finds his way back to the big times.
