Quote:
Jason Collins revealed he has received a gay taunt from one NBA player since making his return to the league on Feb. 23.
Collins, who became the first openly gay player in the four recognized major professional sports, inked two 10-day contracts with the Brooklyn Nets before signing for the remainder of the season.
"One player, one knucklehead from another team," Collins said. "He's a knucklehead. So I just let it go. Again, that goes back to controlling what you can control. That's how I conduct myself - just being professional.
I was about to say KG before I realized they play on the same team. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts!

Jason should name who the idiot was so everyone can make fun of HIM instead for being a stupid bigot. _________________ Damian Lillard shatters Dwight Coward's championship dreams:

It's not like saying you slept with someone's wife.
Or husband?
"how are you even getting playing time? you're garbage.. oh nm, i see how the coach is looking at you..."
"let's keep the game ball out of your mouth jason"
there's endless ammo if you want to go there.. how things are setup these days it would be pr suicide to openly bash anyone gay though...
You sound experienced with those insults. _________________ A banana is killed every time a terrible thread or post is made. Save the bananas. Stop creating terrible posts!
Oh get over it Jason. Nobody said anything when you used your sexuality as an attempt to get another NBA contract by going public with it when nobody asked you or even cares!!!

I'm guessing he was probably asked specifically by a reporter if there were any taunts about his sexuality during his return.

True, but we wouldn't even know or care if he was gay if he hadn't made a spectacle out of it. What people do behind closed doors should stay there. What's next???...an hour long special on ESPN like "The Decision"

look at macklemore the rapper.. he had a good amount of talent and would have had a solid following on the underground scene but instead sold himself out and just completely rode the whole "i support gays" train to huge stardom.. he's nothing more then a cornball these days and that's exactly what collins did as well.. it's annoying for sure but people are now doing it all over to get a little extra attention and backing by that community.. i have zero problems about anybodies sexual preference but it's getting ridiculous these days how much praise or vilification a person gets over it.. we can't just live with it, it has to be one extreme or the other...

there was this guy i used to ball with in pickup games that was openly gay and i def. used that one on him haha.. there was never any bad blood or actual insults though just some friendly trash talking.. he was a lot more ruthless with the trash talking then me.. the girls loved him so i was actually happy since it left more options for me

Do you really not understand why Jason's coming out was a huge deal? _________________ http://chickhearn.ytmnd.com/
