I don't get it...he's probably our best scorer (along with nick young). His game resembles that of a young Kobe and I still cant grasp why he's not being developed on such a terrible team. He should be getting AT LEAST 25 minutes per game out there....I remember watching him as a rookie with New Jersey and he was their best player. In his first game with the Lakers, he single-handedly beat Boston. Had that 51 point game in college...Even now, he shoots 47% from the field, 60% from three, and can score his azz off..in his last 25+ minute game, he had 23 points and we beat the Kings.. he can rebound for a guard...I don't get it. it's gotta be the shakey defense, but since when has D'antoni sat a player for defense?
Thanks for reading...this has been reason number 894702374 to hate Mike D'Antoni, brought to you by L.A.M.B - Evil Makes My D*ck Grow |

We're hiding him so we can sign him for the minimum this summer. We should do this with Bazemore, X, Wes, Nick, and Farmar too. |

He led two comebacks wins vs the Celtics and Kings.
I'm glad he's sitting lol |

Nope, we're using MarShoon Brooks so we can trade him to the Cavs for the rights to Mike Brown... |

Hes honestly not that good. Although he would certainly be better in this system. Perhaps they view him as a strength and would only hurt the chances of tanking. |

He's pretty awful. He's got some of the worst footwork I've ever seen, he's a volume shooter, and he's a pretty piss poor defender. Nick Young is a crappy version of Kobe, and Brooks is a crappy version of Nick Young. |

this is how I know u haven't watched him play...one of his best strengths is his footwork. to me, brooks is as good as nick young right now, with chances of developing into something more.....it's all about earning his coaches trust, which he never seems to do. but he plays a lot like kobe on offense, and while he's clearly not as good, he seems to be a big shot maker, just like kobe. |

Ummm, have you watched him play? He travels nearly every time he pivots since he drags his pivot foot like he covered it in grease and he bunny hops like crazy. I can see why he got zero time from any team he was on after the Nets buried him on the depth chart. |

pivot foot in grease... Too funny!
I think you both are half right. He can do tough things better than others (fadeaways, penetration, finish in traffic) but he struggles with fundamentals ( offensive and defensive awareness, shot choices, defensive positioning).
He travels in the post, but the refs don't call it often. So that's a wash to me |

Because he shoots any time he gets the ball.
That's why Kaman sits, imo. Everytime in the post, Kaman's putting up a shot.
Why other players are allowed to do it, I'm not sure. But they gave Brooks a run and didn't like what they saw. Good offensive player, but not complete nor efficient. Young does a better job of hitting shots and running the offense. Don't need a duplicate of a player that is already hard to incorporate in the offense. |

Sadly, I agree. I had hopes for Brooks after his impressive rookie season but I see why he's been riding the pine since then. Bazemore doesn't look as smooth but he's more effective and even he's on bubble because of overcrowding at that position. _________________ "Suck it up. Don't be a baby. Do your job." - Kobe Bryant |

The answer: Mike D'Antoni, the king of the DNP-CD.
Go ask Jamison, Hill, Kaman, and lots of other players. |
