Seriously. Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.
I think this means Pringles is staying, and mgmt will hire a defensive asst for him. |

I've heard and vaugely remember seeing something saying Mitch was going to keep Mike. Has anyone seen or heard such rumors? _________________ Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

YES, i just don't remember the source right now. But, for whatever it's worth, it's probably all just speculation for the moment... |

Mike D'Antoni remains a Laker.
Options will be considered and weighed as they arise.
But for now, Mike is our coach. |

Or that he knows that his brother is going to stay, so he took the job that had an opening...
You have to realize that the job was offered to MDA, and if he turned it down it means he probably got word that they would retain him next year.[/quote]Not at all
He's under contract still here, Why would he go for another job with a much less salary. I mean Marshall arent giving up $4mill per year for a Coach
Get real |
I think Lakers are looking to make decisions on the roster, then make decisions on the coach. Dan Dantoni basically reserves Marshall for MDA. If hes fired, Im sure Dan will step aside for MDA.
If not, Dan gets a great gig.
Could decision for their family. |

Byron Scott may be the next in line to be the assistant coach. Assuming they keep MDA. _________________ The road back to the top... |

At first I thought Kendall Marshall was asking about MDA and wanted to sign MDA. Boy was that confusing. Then I thought it was a college wanting to sign MDA, and I was elated. Then I realized it was Dan, the brother. Now I'm depressed. |

How will folks feel if D'Antoni's removal led to Kurt Rambis becoming the next head coach? _________________ Austin Reaves keeps his game tight, like Kobe Bryant on game night. |

Sounds more like the Lakers, at most, haven't made a decision on whether they're going to keep MD or not and Marshall doesn't want to wait any longer in the process of finding a coach, recruiting and establishing a system, so they went with the next best Marshall alum. I don't know why people think this is a sure sign MD is gone. |

Indifferent. It would be making a move for the sake of making a move and appeasing fans who don't care about anything but seeing D'Antoni gone. At best, it's a lateral move. And that's being generous to Kurt Rambis, whose greatest claim to coaching fame is being Phil's lead assistant. |

They should get rid of MDA, make Byron Scott head coach, Rambis associate head coach and Cooper assistant coach. _________________ The road back to the top... |

What's sad is mda will prevent other free agents from coming here to play. Meanwhile another year is wasted which leads to mda not being renowned. Lol soo you waste a season just for the sake of standing by a decision you refuse to admit you made a mistake on. It's the old saying of cutting off you're nose in spite of your face. If this what jim buss and the buss family has become then they need to seriously consider selling the team. |
