D’Antoni said Bazemore’s foot was bothering him a bit before the game, but was glad the X-Ray came up negative. MRI tomorrow.

Emplay said he already had an MRI on it and it was negative and Trudell says MRI tomorrow??

He must have meant xray

No he mentioned both.....

Eric Pincus ‏@EricPincus 5m

Kent Bazemore felt a pop in the foot - thought it was Jones fracture but MRI soon after X-ray negative -expects to keep playing this season

Lakers: Bazemore's MRI showed a torn peroneus longus tendon in his R foot. He'll miss the rest of the season & undergo surgery to repair the tendon.

Some of the names being mentioned here on LG would fit in well, Irving and Love.

That's terrible. Baze seems like a good dude too. I hope that he can recover quickly and get another shot with the Lakers.

Even the young guys. Well it could all be just odds, bad luck, whatever you call it. Can't say if it's the system, injury prone players, or a combo of those. A repeat next season would start to rule out chance.

Makes you wonder how much preventative work the Lakers training staff has the players working on during the season though.

Don't we have a team option for him next season?

I'm at a loss with all these injuries. Is it the curse of Antoni or Laker training team just poor.

When are we going to figure out that Dumtoni's system is basically the reason for the injuries.

I mean, this has been staring us in the face for quite a while. Certainly some players are injury prone....but in this season, basically every player has gotten hurt in some way and missed time.

It's not the players, it's the uptempo offense...it's running them all into the ground.

Slow it down, use the possession, play defense, and rebound. That's what good basketball is all about. Not this clown offense that Pringles is running.

I call BS. I think letting go of Alex McKechnie was the bigger problem.

Just wanted to say - too bad we can't blame MDA for this injury. But looks like he did a great job coaching again. Putting a hurt guy in there again even though nothing at all could be won.

Come one, April fools are over, stop that now! It's not even funny anymore!

Something is seriously wrong. It can't be a luck thing. Not to thi point! How do they train? How do they take care of their body? How do they eat? There must be something wrong!

I think it's not so much the system, but the fact that he overuses players. He thinks these guys are young, so they have more stamina. The issue though is most of these guys have never really seen meaningful mins on the teams they've played. Baze and Brooks hardly played in Golden State, same for X, Wes e.t.c. MDA overuses them and the result is injuries.

The Lakers though really need to evaluate Vitti & Co after this season. I don't know what the heck they have been doing!!!!
