Good god, for some reason I thought this thread said Mike D'Antoni got a contract extension.

I was half worried about this.
Very happy they locked him in.
Let's go, Mitch! |

Yes, but he knows he's having that issue in the game thread... _________________ “We must always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.” ― Elie Wiesel |

was reading a comment on the ESPN article...someone mentioned to bring back Jerry West...
i don't get it, the lakers do not depend on him anymore, nor do they depend on Pat Riley or Phil Jackson. and magic was with the lakers but he now has a team to own over. I know they are proven success and winners but in the future, like 10, 20, or 30 years those guys will not be alive anymore and will those same fans still demand them?
out with the old in with the new! |

He's not a great GM and he's not the worst.
Other than the Gasol trade which he admitted he wouldn't have done if Bynum didn't get hurt, he hasn't done anything. Hell, he can't even tank right by trading our only assets(Jordan Hill and Kaman) for 2nd round picks or TPE's. _________________ Go LA! |

Very happy about this. My only wish is that Jim Buss lets Mitch take the reins. |

Ok what? Truth hurts I know.
He's in the bottom tier of the GM's. When you can't even build a team that tanks when you need to, that speaks volume. _________________ Go LA! |

We will see what he can do under this new CBA. None of his moves (or whomever is making them) have worked out under this new CBA thus far. |
