I'm not really up to date on the injury concerns of Pau, but if he risks further injury he shouldn't play.

He should definitely be at the game though to wave to the crowd or whatever. Would be nice to have him announced or something though.

Thought he played his last home game in the Blazer game, not sure if he's feeling enough to give it a go, hope there's some way to keep him here.

He's on the injury list. I hope he'll do a cameo for the fans. This may be our last chance to see him in a Laker uniform. If he's not re-signed we'll have a opportunity to say good bye.

I hope he can at least get in the game for a minute or so, possibly his last home game as a Laker, he deserves some recognition from the fans.

I appreciate Pau as much as any respectable fan but I'm not really the ceremonial type and nothing will be gained or lost in that game... so, why bother?

I almost rather he not play at this point. It only creates further drama when none is really necessary. The fans will appreciate him during his first game back against the Lakers IF he leaves and it eliminates an additional round of media discussion immediately after the game and season end. There's plenty of drama with any Lakers squad as it is and no need adding to it.

I hope pau gets a standing ovation for the same reason I'd pay to see bb king. Not for what's there now, but for the great memories.

Didn't he get a standing ovation after we got swept by the Spurs like it was his last game as a Laker?

2010 Game 7 was Gasol's best game as a Lakers, and sadly it was the end of Gasol being a difference maker as well.

Gasol had already received the 3 year extension from the Lakers which added about 57 million to his contract. The Lakers gave him the extension 2 years before the end of his current contract. The Lakers were extremely generous making Gasol one of the highest paid players in the league. The Lakers never got their return on their investment in Gasol.

A lot of guys seem to be forgetting he was a beast in 2011 regular season, possibly his best season here and very much a difference maker. Let alone that he's been here for 4 more years trying his best, nothing he did here should be overlooked. He's a Laker legend and should get more respect.

Yes, with Kobe down he was MVP like, but when the playoffs came he was MIA

Last year he was our best player in playoffs

I hope Pau is back next season, he deserves to retire a Laker, after all the trade rumors over the past season he has been a true professional and did not freak like Lamar. Just kept the path and is still here and playing well.

Without the hostility, I completely agree.

Not only two rings but one of them against the freakin Celtics!!! Without him, that would not have happened. Huge contributions to get us back at them!

Excellent point... props to Metta too. Without him, we would have lost Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals.

Well... this thread kind of is about Pau. No one is discounting Derek Fisher. But if you're going to go there, you're going to need to reference a lot of other guys too.

Ariza, Odom, Horry... just for starters. You know?

Of course we should Fisher/Ron were role players. Pau could have been the 2010 NBA Finals MVP. Fisher and Ron deserves credit also. Without Pau Kobe has 3 rings and will forever have been in Shaq's shadow. Also this thread isn't about Fisher and Ron. They should appreciated. Pau is about to possibly leave for good so obviously hes more on the people's minds right now.

Its sad so many suppose Laker fans disrespect Pau so much when hes brought us so many happy moments.

Why even click on the thread? The title clearly has his name in it, if you don't like the content you can exit without making any sort of comment. Unless you just wanted to bring attention to yourself?

I agree, this thread is about Pau and fans appreciating his potential last season as a Laker.... although I wouldn't mind bringing him back for the right price.. especially if we add a anchor through the draft or FA.
